Title: what now?
Post by: Mrs Ava on September 30, 2003, 17:59:43
I know it is a little late in the year, however, I wondered if anyone could tell me what else I could or should be getting in the ground now?  I have more garlic bulbs than you can shake a stick at, (I forgot I had placed one order, then I placed another!), I have onions and shallots and at the end of October I will have broad bean plants to go in, (I plan to start them in pots in the garden and put in small plants).  Is that about it  ???
Cheers all  ;D

It all depends how much shelter you have or if you have any cloches, early peas may be OK,and I am still sowing herbs like coriander and rocket.

I will also sow `saladini` under cloches soon-but here we seldom get early frost-Lincs/Cambs border

Hello Cleo

Your not far from me then! - I live in Rutland (North Luffenham to be precise). Only just taken on my lottie so I've still got to actually find my soil under all the nasty weeds!  ::)

I'm sure I can be excused - when Cleo has a chap's sign on this board, and Chloe has one on the other. These days, one wonders!!  And why can't Cleo sign her own letters? - Tim
