Bet your life it has been covered somewhere, but I dunno where!
Em...Website Suggestions...Knowledge Database.........5 or 6 pages of more than you'll ever need to know! - our very own 'knowledge database' on knowledge databases ;D ;D ;D
Super! Ta Lish, good job you know what is going on. ;D
Was thinking that myself too EJ and despite Lishka's explanation and me having a looky, it makes no sense to me!
The only explanation I gave was......where to find the explanation :D But isn't it a sort-of encycloepaedia-type thing written by everyone with some knowledge on a particular topic? And if not, don't refer me back to read 5-6 pages........please? :o ;D
Yes perhaps it could be described as a communally interactive repository in real time, ie always being updated. I nearly typed suppository there, how to embarrass oneself in one easy lesson :-[
If you go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Tutorial) it shows how to edit the pages. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page) is how one looks when it's up and running. Here's another example: http://wikitravel.org/en/Main_Page (http://wikitravel.org/en/Main_Page) and my personal favourite for the sheer madness involved in setting it up: http://wiki.stargate-sg1-solutions.com/index.php/Main_Page (http://wiki.stargate-sg1-solutions.com/index.php/Main_Page)
Right, I've started the ball rolling... :D
Sorry I can't get my mind off Curry's "communally interactive suppository" and the effect it would have!! ::) ;D
All I get from A4A Wiki is;
Backtrace:
GlobalFunctions.php line 524 calls wfbacktrace()
MamboLogin.php line 63 calls wfdebugdiebacktrace()
SpecialUserlogin.php line 274 calls mambologin::authenticate()
SpecialUserlogin.php line 93 calls loginform::processlogin()
SpecialUserlogin.php line 28 calls loginform::execute()
SpecialPage.php line 311 calls wfspecialuserlogin()
SpecialPage.php line 221 calls unlistedspecialpage::execute()
index.php line 101 calls specialpage::executepath()
It looks like the Wiki is up and running now, I have just had a quick play and added starting pages for Asparagus and Asparagus peas.
Well, at least now I'm only getting...
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/danall/public_html/joomla/components/com_mambowiki/includes/SpecialUserlogin.php on line 318
Ken,
Some people seem to get that message when they first try to access the wiki, give it another go and see if you are successfull.
Cheers
Dan
Oh my not more computer techie stuff, I still want to know what a blog is?
My blog's in the signature line below this post. If you want your own, try blogger.com - they're free and not too hard to use, though it takes a bit longer to work out how to customise them :)
There's something on the end of my finger...could that be a blog?

Got it.
Je**s Dan. You're too good for this world. When you pop your clogs can I have you for compost?
I'm very new to Wiki editing but I thought it may help if I put an entry in the 'editing help' page, so I lifted the text from wikipedia which explains which codes do what.
Hope this is OK and its the sort of thing that page was designed for?

Thanks Bupster, so its a sort of your own personal site thingy, that you can share with everyone.
think of it as being like the captains log on Star Trek!
It's short for web log. So a log book of what you want to record on the web. ;)
;D ;D ;D right, so long as it doesn't beam me up or anywhere.
