I produce a do it yourself kit for making plant labels from recycled aluminium. As sold by the Centre For Alterative Technology in Wales. They like them, as they are an example of Primary Recycling. They are £6.00 inc. post & packing. you can check them out on the link below, If you are interested, can you order them through a PM to me on A4A, and I donate to the site.

Good idea, G'tics, and if I wasn't into DIY on recycling anyway I would certainly support such an idea. Anyone who's not so 'handy' might think about ordering your product.
(Guess there must be many uses for long lasting alluminium on ther plot.)
Yes Ken,
They are good for long term crops like soft fruit, Apples, Pears etc.and the pen that is included in the kit is the one the Hardy Plant Society trialed, and was still fine at the end of the six year trial.

Fabulous idea...really love the copper ones! Shame 'cos I already have
100's of labels...but good one Gardenantics ;D
Always in need of labels - will see if I can prise some money from OH for some tomorrow.
Obtained labels yesterday direct from the man himself ;D
They make a great birthday or christmas present too, for any friends interested in gardening. At the shows I do, I sell as many kits to people who are giving them to a friend, as ones that use them in their own garden.

Hi Periwinkle,
Got your order for a label kit, but was in the middle of the Harrogate Flower Show, so will get it in the post tomorrow. Many thanks for your interest, and hope you enjoy the label making. Let me know how you get on, I like to hear how people use them, it my lead to improvements.
