Had a visitor today, showing round and we found this in flower. What pleasure that gave us, best of all the flowers will get biggger and open up more.
lucky you :)
Gorgeous! Any chance of some seed later? I could offer Trillium kurabayashii (not easy to germinate though) in return.
Not sure if it sets seeds, but if it does. Trillium k seed should be collected a soon as the seed pod ripens and sown immediately.
That's what I was planning, but I'm glad to have confirmation.
Ohhhhhhhhhhh Eric, what a beaut!
I noticed a single Helleborus orientalis (the common hybrid) fully out at the weekend, and a single snowdrop flowering in the middle of a patch of bare earth I dug over during the holidays. Nothing as nice as that though, and as I hadn't checked whether the camera batteries needed recharging, I couldn't even take pics.
