Title: Clear Plastic Containers
Post by: katynewbie on January 15, 2006, 09:24:49
???

Was looking at the empty container that the Ariel liquid thingies come in.
Question is: could I grow stuff from seed in it? Does the fact that the plastic is see through matter?

As you can see, dumb questions are my speciality!!

;D

I've been keeping these too and not really knowing why?  I figured they could be little cloches!

Clear plastic will promote the growth of algae between the soil and the plastic. You could end up with a slimey mess in the container. I am also reluctant to use any plastic for propagating that was not intended for plants. I would use them for cloches as Amanda intends.
