Post by: joji on January 14, 2006, 15:34:27
We have some over ripe pears, apples, strawberrys, bananas and a few other bits from christmas. Can these be put out for the birds? I knoow apples can but was wondering about the pears & bananas.

Thanks. :)

Pears, yes, but banananananas, not so sure. Why not use them to make a Banananana cake?

Heck, do they GW,. well never knew that...  Mind you I rarely have bananas in the house.  I feed them, apples, pears, nectarines n peaches, but never tried them on grapes either!!! Wonder if they would eat a melon?  We got a melon  OH doesn't want.

We have a lovely pear tree in our garden. But we never get to eat the fruit - the birds always beat us to it.
