Feels like spring ;D
I bet it freezes tonight :'(
Yee Hah! Feels like I haven't seen the sun for weeks!
More sun please, and hurry up spring!
hail stones about 15 mins ago now it very sunny & rather lovely ;D
Sunny here now too, was horrid this morning. :)
Sat in the sun at the lotty this morning. Was nice. Cleared my mind of some troubling things for a few mins and enjoyed the warmth.
It's still bright now, though a bit nippy.
Yes this bright sun and blue sky is wonderful, the mornings appear so gloomy at the moment as I plod off to work ... Glad you had a few minutes of peaceful calm, Helly
Sunny all day in Shropshire and to celebrate my garlic shoots have appeared. :D
The mornings are rapidly getting lighter. By eight this morning when I dropped off at nursery it was light, when I left home at seven it was still dark. I'm looking forwards to watching it getting lighter earlier and earlier, until it is light when I leave home.
spring in the air, but not the soil.
super claggy with all the rain and sleat we have had for..uhm...quite a while now
Sunny here all day.
Started deturffing for the polytunnel to go up.
Overwintering onions, garlic and rhubarb all showing.
4.15pm and it's still light.
Happy days ;D
Lovely day for a cruise, so I came over to the north island and picked up 1500 box plants.
Hope it stays nice tomorrow as I have to start planting them.
For you that might be interested they are for a victorian themed garden and will make a huge lovers knot. The garden will be called Mr. Browns garden. As Victoria and Albert have been done to death over here, what with Osborne House and all that, we thought we would come in on a different angle.
A very nice day but forcast -2 overnight.
Chris
Beautiful sunny day here but when you got outside very very chilly. At least the days do seem to be getting longer. :) busy_lizzie
Certainly did turn into a nice clear sunny day but when I got up for work around 8ish this morning, it was sooooo dark and dismal!
Oh it's been a beautiful day here in Staffordshire. The sun has been shining all day and it's made me feel all warm inside. Had a walk with LP this morning, walked her to school, walked to collect her and then walked further to the PO and shops. Then walked home. It was a joy to be out and I can feel I've had the sun on my face! It's still been fresh though. The plants in my garden are starting to respond too - tulips have started to push through! The days are getting noticibly longer - spring is on it's way - hurrah! (I feel like a character from The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe!!!!!)
It was a grey, miserable start to the day :( then got a bit better :-\ and then the sun came out!!!!! :) :) ;D ;) Very mild all day though, where's winter!? ??? Dan
Oh I know winter could still creep up on us, but it was so lovely today I want it to last a bit (-1 threatened tonight - we'll pay for those clear skys we had today!)
a beautiful day here :D
>:( Very blustery bitterly cold wind , heavy prolonged showers of sleet/hail yet the sun managed to show his face a couple of times - the nerve!!

Oh I know winter could still creep up on us,Â
~hope not >:( i spotted some new growth on some of my clems ;D
Yep! I've got new growth on some of my clems too, but they should still be ok even if we do get a cold patch! Don't worry so GW!!!!! ;)
Apparently, except in parts of Scotland, December in the UK was the sunniest on record for 100yrs. It wasn't bad here either except for lots of snow and cold. Here we've just had a few days of bright sun and blue skies but below zero so there's still bits of snow lying around and everything's been frosty white. Now we've got grey skies and drizzle and are at about 3C but the water in the pond and birdbath is still frozen. It'll be a while before I can get anything done in the garden.
Back to D & D today - damp and dreary
Still sunny here :) Thick frost though and walking to work was more like skating ;D Still, I prefer it this way to overcast or rain!
Icy and frosty in Shropshire today too. Still the sun is shining and I shall be digging once the frost has gone off the soil. ;D
Sunny but very frosty here today, the mud has frozen solid so no squelching out to the hens this morning. Hope it warms up a little, I want to get to the allotment later, it was -4C this morning when I took kids to school :)
A frost here in South  Yorks this morning........ Mr sun has now popped his head out so its gonna be a perfect day for lottying ... I am going to spread some muck on the part of the lotty where the brassicas are going ..Steaming barrow here we come ....  Jim
Bright and sunny here again but there's ice in the garden. I'm heading out into the garden in a mo, with LP, to have a tidy of my dumping area!
