Paying debts and saving madly for a permanent 'holiday' back in Australia in 2007! Hope there's a tiny bit spare to get to the Pembrokeshire coast path sometime this year.

Probably, my back garden! All our holidays for the past four years (since we bought the house) have been spent there.

Actually we have been talking about going places in this country - to see the beautiful countryside and ancient monuments. Nothing planned though.

Rosebud. Not sure yet, waiting for Lorna (jnr) to decide. Mind you I have got to seriously try saving as my income has dropped due to Charlies private pension finishing TODAY. There has been talk of my lovely kids treating me but I am not going to allow that. They have been so good to me. (Any room in your suitcase? I am not very big ;D) Hope Hospital visit goes well.  Lorna.xx

Nothing exotic, but have booked a week in north Cornwall in April and another week in Worcester/Hereford area in August - Cornwall cos I love the place and want to live there, and Herefordshire for the same reason (oh, and because we've got family in the area).

Cheers,
Rob ;)

Mother permitting (I am her f/t carer)  we hope to have a few days in Paris in June by taking the train from Berwick and pick up Eurostar.  Also OH is planning another few days down at the Eden Project.  His plan is to fly from Edinburgh to Bristol and hire a car to getthere with a self catering cottage.  I want to try and get a few days in N. Wales and OH wants a few days North West Scotland.  Will we be able to do it, well time will tell.

Sounds lovely Carol.  Never been to the Eden project (wasn't too keen at the beginning because it needed time to evolve) but I would like to go now it is a bit more established.  Don't forget a visit to you know who when in the North Wales area.   ;D  ;)  Our plans are to join eldest daughter, son in law, niece and do the canals again. (and my two little Dachsies as well of course)  Two weeks chugging around the Llangollen canal and Four Counties ring.  Sighhhhhhhhhh heaven.

Just had a thought I may see Marianne on the way around.  You on that route anywhere Marianne??

Bananagirl.  My OH worked in Syria  3 years and I have loads of pics. from there.  It is certainly worth a visit cos it is an ancient country.  Damascus looks wonderful so hope you do manage to get there and also Jordan.  I was offered a trip to Syria but like my holidays for this year, cannot leave Mother for long.   She won't go into care for even a week so I am left with up to 5 days away only.  Aw well, tis life.....

Just popping into cause trouble and to make a point - what has this got to do with gardening.  Oh its a thread where we can come on and boast how much we can afford to spend on going on exotic holidays.  Sorry - not for us plebs who can only afford to camp in Northumberland then.

This is not aimed at everybody - just the people who have complained about non-gardening threads and you know who you are.

Off to Herrang (Sweden) in July again - its a 4 week dance camp, unfortunately can't go for all 4 weeks.  Also hope to visit friend in Paris whom we've not seen for a while  :) :) :)

Other than that visiting family in Whitby, the Mumbles (nr Swansea) and London.  Family are planning a UK camping holiday - just need to decide where !

Got 3 trips planned with work too ... USA, China & India, but won't get much time for sightseeing

Nothing booked yet. Intended to go to Rome in Feb then granddaughter came to stay. Peter has a big birthday in July so we'll be going to Devon to stay with his eldest daughter and whoop it up goodstyle.

We both like to get an annual language fix, however, so we will probably go on to France and or Italy afterwards.

2 weeks in the Highlands of Scotland in June are already booked, hopefully a week or two somewhere warm in the Autumn, Cyprus is always nice. I'd love to get my missus out to her auntie in Capetown next Christmas but with our first grandchild due this year I don't think that's likely (grandchild? I'm only 42 for goodness sake)

Robkb - we're hoping to get a week in N Cornwall later on this year.  Never been, but it sounds like fantastic scenery.  Any hints on places to go/eat/stay with a ten year old boy in tow?  They'd be much appreciated.
