Where are you going on holiday this year, and why.Mmmm. ;D.
We are going to Scicily ? brains gone dead ;D ;D.
Then later in the year to my beloved Sorrento, wow!!
I'm sure you didn't mean to spol my day, Mary :( My favourite holiday palce is Sorrento - aah the Marina Grande, the Marina Piccolo - Portobello Beach pales in comparison.........
Never mind - next year, next year ;)
Well, I did have a holiday fund....which has just had to be spent on the car... :( so looks like a tent on the lawn for us! Or at Firry Bottom....had great fun last time though, and I can potter whilst on hol! ;D Heaven....easily pleased eh? ::)
Cape Town I hope.....
Paying debts and saving madly for a permanent 'holiday' back in Australia in 2007! Hope there's a tiny bit spare to get to the Pembrokeshire coast path sometime this year.
Oh  Wicker let us talk Sorrento ;D ;D ;D. When i come  back, i have to go to hospital in an hour and if i start Sorrento i shall still be here in an Hour, it sounds as if you love it as much as we do, we couldent go in 2005 because of my health, look i must go told you i would still be here catch you later look forward to it .
Probably, my back garden! All our holidays for the past four years (since we bought the house) have been spent there.
Actually we have been talking about going places in this country - to see the beautiful countryside and ancient monuments. Nothing planned though.
Rosebud. Not sure yet, waiting for Lorna (jnr) to decide. Mind you I have got to seriously try saving as my income has dropped due to Charlies private pension finishing TODAY. There has been talk of my lovely kids treating me but I am not going to allow that. They have been so good to me. (Any room in your suitcase? I am not very big ;D) Hope Hospital visit goes well. Lorna.xx
Nothing exotic, but have booked a week in north Cornwall in April and another week in Worcester/Hereford area in August - Cornwall cos I love the place and want to live there, and Herefordshire for the same reason (oh, and because we've got family in the area).
Cheers,
Rob ;)
Mother permitting (I am her f/t carer) we hope to have a few days in Paris in June by taking the train from Berwick and pick up Eurostar. Also OH is planning another few days down at the Eden Project. His plan is to fly from Edinburgh to Bristol and hire a car to getthere with a self catering cottage. I want to try and get a few days in N. Wales and OH wants a few days North West Scotland. Will we be able to do it, well time will tell.Â
Sounds lovely Carol. Never been to the Eden project (wasn't too keen at the beginning because it needed time to evolve) but I would like to go now it is a bit more established. Don't forget a visit to you know who when in the North Wales area.  ;D ;) Our plans are to join eldest daughter, son in law, niece and do the canals again. (and my two little Dachsies as well of course) Two weeks chugging around the Llangollen canal and Four Counties ring. Sighhhhhhhhhh heaven.
Just had a thought I may see Marianne on the way around. You on that route anywhere Marianne??
I was thinking of going to Turkey >:( but im a bit worried about the flu, so I will bring forward a visit to the Majorelle garden in Morrocco.
I will be watching the flu saga in Turkey too, as that was where we intended to go this year ...
Syria and Jordan, hoping, so's I can do an Indiana Jones in Petra ;D
No where, mind you we did just get back from an overseas Christmas! Now put the house on the market so yet another 7 years camping in the rain for hols! ;D
Bananagirl. My OH worked in Syria 3 years and I have loads of pics. from there. It is certainly worth a visit cos it is an ancient country. Damascus looks wonderful so hope you do manage to get there and also Jordan. I was offered a trip to Syria but like my holidays for this year, cannot leave Mother for long. She won't go into care for even a week so I am left with up to 5 days away only. Aw well, tis life.....
Just popping into cause trouble and to make a point - what has this got to do with gardening. Oh its a thread where we can come on and boast how much we can afford to spend on going on exotic holidays. Sorry - not for us plebs who can only afford to camp in Northumberland then.
This is not aimed at everybody - just the people who have complained about non-gardening threads and you know who you are.

No holiday booked as yet and as hubbie's job is a bit iffy at the moment I guess we will have to wait and see. I do have a girly weekend booked with my four fab friends in Seville in March so any recommendations of places to stay, things to do etc gratefully received. :)
Amanda , do post what Seville is like please cost, and hotels, surroundings, etc. Thank you.
We've got a fabulous trip to look forward to in September. Great Aussie freinds of ours have booked a yacht and we're going sailing round the Dalmatian coast. It's a long way off but I am excited already!
CLx
We'll be going to centre parks again, in november.
CL sounds fab. enjoy!!!.
C&B, a friend of ours goes to centre parks every year they really love it there.
Off to Herrang (Sweden) in July again - its a 4 week dance camp, unfortunately can't go for all 4 weeks. Also hope to visit friend in Paris whom we've not seen for a while :) :) :)
Other than that visiting family in Whitby, the Mumbles (nr Swansea) and London. Family are planning a UK camping holiday - just need to decide where !
Got 3 trips planned with work too ... USA, China & India, but won't get much time for sightseeing
nothing planned...as of yet! Will post when we finally decide...
Booked 2 weeks of total luxury in August at our timeshare, Anfi Del Mar on Gran Canaria!
Nothing booked yet. Intended to go to Rome in Feb then granddaughter came to stay. Peter has a big birthday in July so we'll be going to Devon to stay with his eldest daughter and whoop it up goodstyle.
We both like to get an annual language fix, however, so we will probably go on to France and or Italy afterwards.
Norfolk this year, and will deffo be going to Isle of Man again - sister in law and her crew moved there a few years ago and I just love the island, especially the west coast away from Douglas!
:)
2 weeks in the Highlands of Scotland in June are already booked, hopefully a week or two somewhere warm in the Autumn, Cyprus is always nice. I'd love to get my missus out to her auntie in Capetown next Christmas but with our first grandchild due this year I don't think that's likely (grandchild? I'm only 42 for goodness sake)
Caz and Baz, we're off to CP too, will be our third visit, looking forward to it already! There is so much to keep everyone happy, and I love swimming outside on a dark frosty night, it's magic!
We're off the Goa at the end of this month. We tend to take our hols in the winter and just have the odd days out in the summer. Cant wait for the 24th a couple of weeks sun in the winter works wonders.

Robkb - we're hoping to get a week in N Cornwall later on this year. Never been, but it sounds like fantastic scenery. Any hints on places to go/eat/stay with a ten year old boy in tow? They'd be much appreciated.
