I don't know if a gang of your are still intending to go to the Ryton spud day and meet up, but Ava and I will be unable to come along this time due to babysitting problems. In otherwords, can't get one! Mum is up this weekend as she is doing a lace workshop at our local craft centre, so she won't be able to get time off work to come up again. Sorry to those who we said we would meet. :'(
However, we will be going to the East Anglia day :):
Sat 11 Feb 2006 East Anglia* Stonham Barns, Stonham Aspal, Nr Stowmarket, IP14 6AT (Brown Tourist Signs) 9.30am-mid afternoon. Over 90 varieties of seed potato will be available, approx third organic, all at 10p per tuber. Entry £1.50, includes Guide to Varieties. Variety details e-mail Julian Turner 01953 498651, general enquiries e-mail Cathy Wood 01787 375153
Anyone else thinking of going to this one??
Yup!!! ;D It's the weekend before my erm 30th EJ, thought I'd spoil myself and buy a wagon load of pots....
Might do E-J, if I can combine it with something else.
Jeremy
I don't know whether you were aware Emma, but I have cried off attending the meet at Ryton, for personal reasons ... I doubt this has caused any upsets ...

I'll be going EJ. Went last year but a lot of the pots I wanted had sold out! New plan of action this year.....3 of us....each with a list...1st earlies...2nd earlies and maincrop. We are not allowed to meet up until all potatoes found!!! ;D
oooooooooooooo, a little nearer the time, maybe those that are going could arrange to meet....wear a leek in our lapel or something so we recognise each other!! ;D
I have my main spuds, it is a few oddities I am after.....I am hoping to be able to get there nice and early, famous last words though as we will have to take the sproglets!! Hope mine don't try and buy pebbles like Multiveg's lad did!! ;D
That would be nice 8)
Sort of on topic -but I'm told there's a nursery near Coggeshall (Dutch Nursery?) that sells spuds singly -upto 40 varieties. I might try there first as I'll probably be driving past in the next week or so.

I'm aiming to go as well, but will be cycling from Stowmarket unless I can find someone stupid enough to give me a lift. So keep an eye out for flying inner tubes I collapse in exasperation ;D.
