Let us know how you get on; I'm trying to learn as much as I can about stratification.

That's if they don't eat him first. Wasn't it HG Wells who wrote a story about a decidedly dangerous orchid?

Good luck with your growing Ava!

I hope you are more successful than us. We tried two types last year with no success. You probably have greener fingers than ours!

Oooooh my son chose one of those carniverous plants. I've got the seeds planted in the little pot and sat it in my fridge. Unfortunately SOMEONE knocked it over. It is covered with a little plastic bag so I have righted it and hope the seeds will still germinate.  My son has now bought some venus fly trap seeds and I also have found another packet of seeds which is a couple of years old. I'll give them a go and see what happens eh? Will have to find the packet to tell you exactly what they are.

Good luck Ava !

Remember this???  Hmph, well, after they spend the required amount of time in the fridge, were only watered with rain water, were talked to lovingly and generally looked after, NOTHING!  NADA!  NIL!  PAH!!  So, at the weekend, mum and I brought the old boy 2 different saracenias, a venus fly trap and a sundew.  They have been planted in a pot with no holes to allow a boggy atmosphere, in the correct compost, and the venus is happily devouring a butterfly!!  I would love to try to grow some from seed, and I seem to remember one of our members here is a carniverous plant grower....so I am hoping you will see this and post so I can check out your website and pick your brain so I don't kill them!

;D

Ava should try again Emma. After all you don't give up if you have a failure on your allotment. What a  dissapointment for Ava, maybe another try will succeed.
