Post by: Doris_Pinks on January 06, 2006, 15:34:29
The new type roses don't grow well over there so they have the traditional old roses, these are blooming now in my Mother-in-laws garden!

Why do old roses do better? Personally I greatly prefer them.

May well be. I just don't like overblown scentless modern roses, on the whole. I like old varieties like Rosa Mundi, even though the flowering season is shorter.
