Post by: Dan 2 on January 02, 2006, 17:49:43
Hi everyone! I have three dogwoods in my garden at the moment which I have had for about three years, the problem is that they are still only about 2 ft high. I have moved them once at the begining of the year, would this be the problem. They're bery small and thin stems. Does anyone have an idea what Im doiung worng? Many thanks, Dan :-)

Hard to say, but Dogwoods do like a fairly moist situation. They would stay small and not grow well if they were in a too dry a situation.

It is possible you planted them too deep, aim to keep the same level as the soil mark on them when bought, having said that as they root easily from cuttings I wouldnt thik that wouold be the problem, but it may retard them.
