Does anybody know the map symbol for a Public Telephone and a Bridge. Daughters homework and am getting very fed up with google coz we've found all required symbols escept these 2..

I know you peeps will be able to help pleeeeeeeeeeeeease :D

Just looked in my Street Guide. Bridges are named, but not shown  ::)

UP is correct though.

LOL!! OK do a google search, for map symbols but click the UK search bit or you get the US symbols..... :-*

Go to OS web site - will get link in a minute.  There are keys to symbols there and you can download pdfs of 1:25000 and 1:50000 map symbols - look in the teacher resources section.

is it PC for a loo.  Public convenience ?  Our cubs thought the word 'bog' printed on the map was it but I did put them right.

bridges are two lines that flick out at the ends

Cheers everyone, homework now complete!  Jess think sits hilarious that I asked you lot ................not quite sure why she finds it so funny but then I'm not 12.

Could do with walk today, got a bit of cabin fever over the festive period  :)
