Just to demonstrate that I am not all Bah Humbug, I am going out this evening with my wife and daughter to Warwick Castle, where there is a 'Frost Fair'. This includes an hour on an outdoor skating rink, installed for the occasion. I have no idea what to expect, but I certainly hope it will be fun ...

Hope you don't fall on your bum! Well,actually I would laugh if you did and I saw it. I'd tell you it was becuase of all your bah humbugging! You would end up bah bumhugging as you rubbed the pain away.

Thank you guys. Actually Helly, I have fallen on my bum many times, in fact I have big blue bruises to prove it - the ice is frighteningly hard !!! However, since I have only been skating for less than 7 weeks, I am doing at least as good as anyone else, if not better.
I completed my 7 week skating course last Sunday, and passed the end of course tests, to be promoted into group 3 ... woohoo !!!

Bruises... I am surprised no one has asked for pictures ;D.. you obviously haven't taken up UP's earlier suggestion of wearing a cushion around the rear end?

Well it was fun, but very crowded and many people were not exactly skaters !!! So it was interesting ... My daughter enjoyed herself too, alas the camera battery flattened so we didnt get any pictures ...

Derek, yes I am allowed to wear skates now, going backwards is the hard part now. It was too crowded to do anything like that tonight ...
