A bit of name dropping...

I once booked Jools for the opening of a venue in Nottingham. £8,000 for 2 x 20 min sets. Halfway through the first set he decided he didn't like the way the piano was positioned and refused to play anymore.

I also know Roy Wood isn't dead as I see him out drinking regularly at a pub in Derby.

maggie, was he playing with the Rhythm and Blues Orchestra ? Superb night out, kids took me to see them as a b'day present last year. Best night out I've had in years.    {:¬)#

I met Jools once. When he was doing The Tube with Paula Yates. I was about 14. I asked for his autograph and he wrote a big long message with best wishes and such like. I was chuffed to bits.  Paula was really nice too. She signed a load of posters for me. She was due to have her first baby that night and she was sat in the foyer of the television studio with her feet up on the desk. I thought she was so cool! I shed a tear when I heard she had died.

Lost the autographs now unfortunately.
