In the spirit of Christmas revelry and doing things you profoundly regret afterwards, I thought it would be nice to have a thread for people to post pictures of themselves so we can stop wondering who we're talking too.
Of course some of you have done this already. One of us has even done it half naked! But maybe some of our more retiring members can be coaxed out of the shadows (with their kit on)...?
Here are the suggested rules:
1. No pictures substituting Johnny Depp or somebody from Girls Aloud for your good self...Â
2. No airbrushing, silhouettes, balaclavas etc. or pictures from 1974 (unless they are funny)
3. Lots of other stuff t.b.a. (probably).
Feel free not to do it if you think it's silly or something but: If you don't do it: Derek the Fox says you're a wimp...(hides).
I hereby undertake to post my picture before christmas, providing I can find the software for my camera...
(Excuses starting already...)
Who's gonna get the ball rolling....??
Yes, come on! Who's going to start the ball off then??? Am tapping foot and looking at watch here.... ::) ;)
Clanger, have it sorted matey......check out other thread.....much cheaper too!! ;D
Oh dear Clanger I've got the answer to all your problems - I'm a Beauty Therapist, have just plugged the wax pot in and have plenty of muslim strips and soothing after-wax lotion - just a short trip down the A15 ;D
Quoteand have plenty of muslim strips
??? ;D Careful, we don't want to start a fatwa!
;D ;D ;D....though may I ask, erm.....no it's ok......nevermind...... :-X

Now I'm giggling again ;D
In the spirit of Christmas I think everyone should be photographed topless, except DTF of course, we've already seen what he's got on offer ;)
Call me daft.....old fashioned.....and all, but erm no? And still trying to work out the link between topless....and Christmas...... ??? ;D ;)
Come on - less talk, more photos you lot...
Darn!! It didn't work.....tst... must be photo virus or something.... ::) ::) ::) ;)
Excuses, excuses...
Right, OK, this is me and son Jack.....I will never drink wine again....ever..never.....OK deep breath and......
me!!! LOL!! Pic got lost first time round!!! Blame Wards....got that sorry while you were posting thingy.... ::) ;)
And am just sneaking in to hang this one.....feeling crafty...there think that's straight....as she tiptoes out.....shutting door very quietly behind her.... ;D
Images removed at request of user!
ok lottie, just so you won't be on your own

Mike and Dawn
Phew!! And hi Mike!! Was close to hitting delete if I only one!! Nice to see you and Dawn. ;D
Well you have all seen my pics throughout my time on this board........but I thought I would post a big one. Very difficult to find one of me as I tend to be behind the camera, or avoiding it if at all possible! Still blonde here, taken in the summer!
Thanks Terracemax, only just picked up this post, I am flattered that you have quoted me. May I presume that I don't need to repost, as I guess everyone has seen my previous exhibition shot ?
Excellent to those members who have already posted, as for the rest of you, well come on, or be wimps !!!
Derekthefox :D
Actually, I have just realised, in my previous picture I wasn't half naked, I was three-quarters naked, for I only had shorts on ... so perhaps the rules should be changed accordingly ... ;D
Derekthefox ;D
Can't remember when this was taken. 1936 or something I think. I'm not sure what happened to my chin.
Hey Ej and Sam!! And Wardy, so not!! And you still haven't told me where you got that dress!! ::) ;) Choccie please, am peckish now!! Erm and not a Russ licked one either....
Nice curtains EJ ;D
Curtains :o :o :o :o I thought it wiz venetion blinds.... !!!!! ;D ;D
a wiz dazzled by her smile ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Well tried, TM - but what happened to all the other photos in the 2 previous attempts??
Cannot see why folk are so reticent. As said so often, it really does make it more of a family thing if one can talk to a person. I'm not much 'up' in other forae but, from what I've seen, isn't this one thing that makes A4A so special? And if you are recognised in Tesco - so what?
I'm absolved, because you've seen at least 4 of me over the years. Mustn't do an overkill?
And Sam - I thought that cradle pictures were disallowed??
All I need now is a number plate across my chest.
Cheers Vony
This is getting more and more interesting. Shaking hands to say "nice to meet you (those who have posted pics)
Seen by some, mais pour encourager les autres?
Just booted the 4 year old off the PC: Well done everyone (so far)! Keep those pictures rolling...Maybe Dan could make this into a 'sticky' thread? Maybe Dan could post a picture of himself??
UP & EJ a special contribution indeed...'hubba! hubba!' I think is the vernacular phrase...Mike B - I can see why you look so serene and happy... ;) YP very good, but against the rules...
Wait a minute what's that horrible noise? Oh no it's Wardy:
QuoteExcuses, excuses" to quote TM. Â You have, may I say, more excuses than a hound dog has fleas Publish and be damned TM I think at 6'5" you are quite a statuesque gent and obviously smart so will have a broad forehead, slim I think as have four kids, hence no dosh so will be slender I think you might be quite cerebral, a bit like Jake Thackray. Correct me if I'm wrong Â
Are you keeping a file on me Wardo?! ;D Â Thanks for those generous and alarmingly accurate observations but who the is Jake Thackray. Does search... hmmm you may be suprised in a disappointed sort of way....
As for me posting GIVE US A CHANCE. I've given my word but these things take time - the house is a tip, the dog's fleas need walking...
For those who've posted pictures elsewhere (Tim, Wardo, DTF) why not post some more here so we can have a one-stop reference point for A4A members. Oh, good on you Tim our posts crossed...
Tim That is a lovely pic.
UC Yep when you first sent me pic via email after you had attached A4A graphics I did dare you to put pic on here , things must have changed you were too shy at the time ;D 8) AND at the time Ihad already posted pics of me with graphics, even posted one of just boobs and graphics. Oh dear, whatever next?
Good work Clanger. I'm starting the hunt for my camera's software and that funny lead thing now.
Come on the rest of you, this is much more important than writing Xmas cards...
Ok Terracemax, this is a more 'acceptable' picture ...
In the spirit of joining in and stepping out of anonimity here's me and my OH Jo
(http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a351/reedos/2004_1031Image0016.jpg)
Just to keep up with EJ's summer theme here's one of me being sensible for a change...... ;D
If I knew what to do to Get it from.... here... to.... there

Derekthefox :D
TM - try it, but can't guarantee anything!
Icy - lovely body but PLEASE reduce it??
And this is a place for photos??
QuoteAnd this is a place for photos??
Quite right Tim, have removed some extraneous posts. Come on folks pictures pictures...less whittling...
Right well we need more pictures and less excuses I think ...
Well so far we have not done badly on the glamour front, lots of lovely ladies, but as red blooded bloke, I vote we need more !!! So I will be sending out calls and messages for more pictures. Perhaps you other guys could do the same? I suppose the ladies want more blokes on too? It figures I guess.
Oh yes, swimming cossy pics are very acceptable (ladies only for me though ;D )
Derekthefox :D
Sounds like my kind of guy. Really. The disappointment I referred to was yours because I don't look half as interesting as he does. I'll definitely find out more about his work... :)
I remember seeing him on Saturday nights, I cant remember the show now, he always gave the impression of not being comfortable on television (nor would I come to that). I was unable to appreciate him at that time ...
Derekthefox :D
Well if you don't mind an 'old' spanner being thrown into the works, here is yet another photo of me with my boys. Taken last year on holiday in Devon, I am (like Emma) usually behind the camera. (No swimming cossy I'm afraid - those days are long gone ;D(photos that is :))
Hey Garden Girl!! Nice to meet you! And if anyone sees Icy, drag him in here to REDUCE!!!!!! Mike, it's Ms Undercarriage Kevin Plan, after my maiden aunt....or was it uncle.. ??? ...mmm....OK... ;D ;)

Hello Gardengirl! Nice to meet you... JennyM always a pleasure to see you again...
Glynn - Â ??? ;) :) as usual. Clanger: clear infraction of all three rules. Go to the back of the class (and get the school's digital camera). BTW I thought you were bald...
Before you 'ask' Wardy - my photo has been sent to Tim. Heaven help me...
Hey Jen and tiny weeny Glyn ;D ;D ;D Ooo I could just put him in my pocket...and bout time, TM!! Am I being too optimistic in presuming it's for here..... ::) ;D ;)
QuoteAm I being too optimistic in presuming it's for here.....
I don't think he'll want it for his private collection, Ms Undercarriage Kevin Plan....
QuoteI hope Tim doesn't nobble your photo and draw on a false beard and pointy ears.
That would be unnecessary duplication....
You missed the umlaut..... ::) ::) ::)
Time passed...nappies to change...it's just kind of creeping back...
Come on Tim! Let's get this over with!
I think he maybe is keeping you in suspenders TM ;D ;D ;D ;D

ahhhhh, yesssss....that was rather a big picture wasn't it! Â I do apologise having been in a bit of a rush so when the picture uploaded I thought no more of it and disappeared rather than checking!
Which makes me think - there is a limit on the size of picture files that can be uploaded from a memory point of view. Â Is there a way that a limit could also be set on the actual dimensions of the picture as well?
oh yes - and having missed some of the convo and seeing no reference....whats happening with the avatars as I seen mine and most of the others have now disappeared?
Iain

As I told Lottie, my kids thought it would be amusing to sneak some washing up liquid into my footbath/massage thingie .... do I look amused ! :-\
Aiken. That really made me laugh. As Charlie was disabled I often carried the footbath in to the lounge for him. I thought I would help and put some shower gel in it!!! Well you would have thought at my age I would know better ;D
It is still a nice pic!!!!
lovely pics everyone.
Well done Lottie for getting the ball rolling - how nice it is to meet you all, :)
Evening All

I am not Lottie, but I cast a raised eyebrow (Spock style) because for a moment, I thought why was Aiken bathing his feet in your house !!!

Well of cos he'd be smiling.....he'd be making jigsaws with all 4 of my little people, after I'd hyped them up on jelly babies and anything with an E no in it.....before cake making of course.....after hair crimping with Mags.....and not forgetting roller blading........ oh yes, he'd have a blast, alright, such a smile........ ;D ;D ;D ;)

Just to show that your efforts are not wasted - this is before editing duplicates.
And there are 24 earlier, larger ones from Profiles - since wiped off the board.
I'm impressed tim. {:¬)#
I've thought about this Clanger and I think it was your (sadly missed) old avatar of the red clanger. With the message: 'I really do look like this' underneath.
In retrospect, I may have taken it a little too literally... :-\
Well here's a better one (resized and checked this time!!!) instead of me pulling silly faces on my yacht..... ::)Â Â can't have the other one saved for posterity Tim - I look very out of place amongst all those other posh folk you have pictures of!
Iain
I think the Clangers are still available on BBC video. Nearly as popular round here as my 8 disc Moomins dvd.
Course they are - I love the clangers and of course the soup dragon. Beast episode was baby clanger using mums table cloth for a flag on the moon surface ;D

Derekthefox :D
Delilah I willl join the all girls together thingythang! Thankyou for my mince pie Lottie ...homemade or Marks and Sparks?

And Heldi.....need you ask?? Homemade, of course.....not by me though, you'll be pleased to know. Am toying with the idea of curried parsnip mince pies at the min..... :-X

Whenever we go to visit he makes my go to York Street with him :-\, he's trying to brainwash my boys as well but little does he know it's too late I've already done that ;D
PS How do you get singing PM's very impressive
Well done Ady ;D Â If only I was !#?? years younger ;) ;D ;D :D

ME AND ME MAM ;D ;D ;D ;D
Hello Ady - you look like someone in the music industry. Can't quite think who it is. Not 50 cent, obviously.
As for Delilah, I think I'm Lincoln City to her Chelsea, so to speak...
at great personal pain - I've updated my duck tape avatar to a rather stylish image of myself.
Well there is a bit of a problem with real names anyway Ady. I mean here I've been for a while now happy with Icy, Icyberjunkie (amongst other things ::)...thanks lottie?!!) and then Iain turns up. So if Iain posts a pic and I use my real name i.e Iain then things may get a might confusing - after all I have my yachting image to protect ;D
Iain or should that be Icy thesedays?? {GG}
an..Wardy wot can I say my dear. There was me with an image of a Yorkshire farmers wife with all that digging and hard work you do...couldn't have been much wider of the mark if I'd tried!
oh yeah...Lottie...havenlt you any more interesting pictures to post? ;) lolol
Well Hello Clanger, very pleased to meet you, had definately pictured you with dark hair if hadn't know you were a teacher I'd have thought longer hair and like TM you do remind me of somebody :)
I am regularly in your neck of the woods was born in Lincoln, moved when I was 9, but still feel more at home in your beautiful city than in my dirty industrial town :(
Bionic Wellies - stylish doesn't begin to describe.......... ;D
Glyn - you crack me up every time :D
;D ;D ;D
I was going to post a pic. but decided not to cos of all the lovely women seen up to date. You dont want an old dog to spoil it. Just my avator will do.
::) ::) ::) ::)
Carol you must post a pic, don't put yourself down, you're avatar is lovely  :)
Carol, Post!!! ;D ;D ;D You're lovely!!! And Icy, if I was in any fit state at min, then yes would post one of me in gals clothes...yes is true.....real gal clothes, even have lace bit!!! ...... not a DM in sight......but having jsut got in from meeting very old matey and being slightly tiddlyish......prob not a wise idea....... ;D ;D ;D
Hi glad to "meet" all who have posted pics.. Oy Carol post a pic. Old dog? Oh blimey what am I then being 13years older than you ???
Lottie seems like you have had a good time. Good onya gal. Will speak to you tomorrow in case you are too far gone tonight to be sensible. Well I know you CAN be sensible sometimes ::)
;D ;D ;D... see?Am soooo capable... though you both such good mates Lorna.... ;D :-X :-* ::) :D 8) ;D ;D ;D ;)
It would have to be a rather big allotment site, Dominique ... ;D ;D ;D
Derekthefox :D
Carol - the picture I have of you - in my gallery - is great. Why not re-post that one?
Oh 'go on....go on......go on.....' Carol :D If this 'old dog' can do it, so can you.......not that I am calling you an old dog you understand - from the photos I've seen of you, you easily match up ;D ;D :D
Wardy....................... ;D ;D ;D ;D
Your Photo its Like CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a CRACKER ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D hAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
You're too quite in that one wardy, I don't trust you when you're quiet. I prefer it when your shouting at me ;D

LOL!!! Pete, that makes me feel sooooooooooooo much better about my own passport photo. So definately nice to meet you ;D
And Wardy...I thought it was lottie that was tipsy!  Looks like you had a few sherberts yourself!  As for the Yorkshire farmers wife...had pictured a wind freshened ruddy face, friendly smile while sat in a stone paved big kitchen with hot apple pie, roaring fire with muddy boots, spades and produce all around!  You always sound sooooooooo busy keeping up with that big veggie patch!  Never imagined you THAT well presented. One can be so wrong.!
......and sooooooooooo bad at digging deeper holes! {GG}
Pete, I'm sure I've seen that pic on the wall at my local cop shop ! ;D
Picked today, wardy??

QuoteShame you left .................need all the support they can muster methinks!
Maybe. Maybe not Delilah. Often party politics is just a substitute for real (personal) change. Trying to be the change I wanted to see in society seemed like a better use of resources to me...
QuoteOh Tulip I had you down for one of the female species too....................sorry
Don't worry, I thought Ady really was a clanger...
You're more than welcome, Mike, though my OH is still in shock that anyone would ask for my help regarding the computer...... ::) Is OK, have locked him in the garage.. ;D ;)

Hi Tulip. Whereabouts in the Netherlands are you? Â Lived in West Germany for a while and spent many happy days in Holland. Â Keep promising myself a trip over on the ferry from Newcastle.
My labour of my first child started in a bread shop in Roermond,he was born later in Germany!
Oh dear I didn't make myself very clear did I - Green Party comment was a sarcastic one ::) I guess you have to be me to understand my warped sarcasm. I very rarely think politics cos I don't think anything atall is black and white, I hate labels , boxes and any form of grouping people into neat little sections - its just not how it is.
I think lots of peeps do worry about revealing themselves and personal details...................I know I did, and consequently did't fill in profile until I felt comfortable to do so.

Hi carol. Nice to meet you.Lovely pic. Are there no oldish members apart from Tim and myself?
Have you checked out my profile lately Lorna ;) ;D
Oldish - thank you, Lorna!
Carol - lovely! - do you want me to replace the full-face one in the gallery??
Gardengirl. Where is your pic? Well I never considered I was getting OLDISH until I reached 70 ;D so in my mind you are still a youngster ;D ;D I did try to look at Tims pics he put up but can't get a clear image. Nothing unusual for me where computers are concerned. So enjoy the next two years of being a youngster!!!!!!
Sorry, Lorna - they were only to show how we were doing. I do have a nice one if she defaults.
Ageing ... the process whereby a good quality whisky (or wine) slowly matures until it finally approaches it's full potential ... sound a bit like you Lorna ? {:¬)#
AD I am taking that as a compliment (I think!!) having said that and thinking of the times you have made two handed remarks to another certain member I will keep an open mind. ;D ;D
Tim. Aha they just cannot escape you :)
It was an unconditional compliment, absolutely no ambiguity *hugs*
Oooo be careful, Lorna.....he was just this sweet seconds before hurling me off the sofa....keep your eye on 'im.... ;)
I'm deeply, deeply hurt Lottie ! ...... aarghhhh, I was sitting on my keys .... that could be a contributary factor I suppose ....
UC. I think he may be genuine this time but then again in the words of the great tennis player
"YOU CANNOT BE SERIOUS!!"
That's it, I give up .... goes down the stairs and kicks the neighbours garden gate ...
I don't know how you do it, Aiken, but you got me feeling awwwwww now ::)......grrrr.....so here, have a choccie.... ;D ;)
My foot hurts now ! :'(
wardy oh wardy .... no wonder the Germans were scared to invade Britain .....
Is OK Wards, have put head in bucket of cold water, and come to my senses....sorry bout that......thwacks Aiken, will think of reason later for thwacking.....I love that word!!
wardy, you've seen right through me ;D
Lottie, I made that word up years ago to threaten my kids with, never seemed to work somehow :(
Lorna - I am on page 3 of this thread and also on a previous thread started by EJ's other half Ava, both pictures with my beloved boys. Â Mind you, one of them (Bobbie) has lost favour with me at the moment as he has helped himself to a few of my Chrissy decorations from the tree and of course, the other one has helped him destroy them :-X >:( Â Quite a few photos on the other thread as well - from memory it is called 'Members - faces behind the names'. Â Thanks for the compliment about being a 'youngster' for the next couple of years - I will try to make the most of them ;) ;D

I thought that I was so good cutting down from a bottle of wine am & 3-4 Scotches pm to - perhaps - one Scotch pm. But when you measure that 'normal' Scotch you find that it is a treble!! WAY over the recommended limit!!
Oh, dear - what's to become of us??
with love!!
Hey Tim, from that link I'm under the recommended upper limit for women but says I should still cut back, have mineral water instead, just doesn't have the same appeal though does it. :)
oh dear oh dear.......well....it is christmas! :-\
Tim I sometimes don't have a drink for 2/3 months but when I do.....oh boy!!!! Wonder how many units a bottle of brandy is and can I spread it over the non drinking weeks ;D?
And that gives your liver a break Emma?? Thing is - I'm the pension person & have to think of all the others. What a shame!!
Jesse - NO!!
I've cut right down on my drinking on Doctors's orders, now I only drink while I'm awake .....
;D ;D ;D Sorry, i know I should be tutting....but just can't stop ..;D ;D ;D
I have no need to fib on the drinking score flower, because I can't drink that much anyway ...
Derekthefox ;D
I'm just straining off 3litres of sloe gin, i have a nasty feeling i'm gonna be looking like that again later this evening ::)
Lorna - so long as there is someone there to pick you up??
What restraint!! Must be very happy in other things??
Tim Charlie never drank, my kids very seldom drink (have always got a chauffeur though) and I don't like drinking on my own but, New Years resolution ..I will have a little drink each evening. I was going to have a brandy and lemonade this evening but remembered I have left the lemonade in the car and I am too flipping lazy to go up to the garage to get it.. So there will be a new me in 2006 ;D ;D
Lorna - nothing to do with what we look like - except eventually - but how nice to have a little 'warmer' each evening? But make it STRONG & sip it. A weak one goes nowhere & gets to the bloodstream much more quickly.
Tim Have noted.
Hey Tulip23.  :)
Eeeek! I know where you are :o
I used to do my shopping in the Naafi at JHQ! At the time I lived on RAF Wildenrath ,my ex husband was based at RAF Bruggen.
Had some great laughs in Roermond. Also Venlo.Maasricht,Einhoven.Amsterdam..... ;D ;D
Carol will be able to spy you in Alnwick now! (You'll probably stay away from the place from now on). :)
Svea ;D ;D ;D
Told you she was a Wonder with that Laptop thingy 8)
Nice Pic Aqui Nice Photo too nice to meet you both.
Keef.....Must have been one hell of a party.....Must Be
Heinken or Amstel 8)
Heldi :o
My last Motor Trip ....I stopped and took a Photo of the Entrance to RAF Bruggen from that German Cafe/rest Acrosss the road From the Main Gate....
Small World Girl .......When my son was at JHQ....
always went to Marley's For Fish and Chips!!!!!!
OO Heldi. I will be looking out for your as well in Alnwick, sure we will be going there soon.
So you are ex RAF as well?? We have done our bit for Queen and Country.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
another piccie of me - walking in scotland
(faces have been blurred to protect the innocent ;D
(http://www.stardotbmp.com/svea/Miscellaneous/scotland.jpg)
Tulip, mentioning the Main Gate reminded me of a trip through to Holland with a "cavalier" standing up through the sunroof with plastic sword poised ahead of him, shouting "charge!" Â Had forgotten that.
Also some noggin cutting about 2 feet off the top of the Christmas tree when asked to shorten it. What a clip it was.
A couple of lads used to make use of the special Dutch clubs. They had a competiton where they'd drive up and see who could be in and back out in the fastest time  ::). All done in a Starsky and Hutch driving stylee if you know what I mean.
Funny what pops into the head when triggered. Mind you I've forgotten alot because I made use of Prop Flight's bar quite a bit!
I remember the steel dungarees in Roermond though.
Carol ,I wasn't in the RAF,my ex husband was and still is. He was based at Leeming until a couple of months ago. He's moving up to Boulmer soon. I'm not entirely chuffed with that. I had a great time,I spent most of it with the singlies, both the boys and girls I hasten to add! Â Didn't gel with some of the forces wives to be honest, they were a bit unfriendly but the RAF lads and lasses were great.
Heldi. Other half left the RAF probably before you were borned. We were at RAF Seletar in Singapore, RAF Wattisham in Suffolk and RAF Leuchars, Fife. I didnt mix with the forces wives either. Is RAF Boulmer the Search n Rescue Station?
::) ::) ::) ::)
Yeah that's right Carol. The one that is supposed to be closing! My ex's squadron has disbanded so he has moved from Tornadoes to helicopters. As you do ??? .Â
When I was "involved" with the RAF I made friends with a lovely lass who had been married to the RAF for quite some time. She and her OH had travelled the world. Her stories were brilliant. She had thee most gorgeous furniture from Hong Kong. She said then that the travel opportunities had diminished.
I've got a lovely huge Dutch Oak bed from Venlo Netherlands lol!
I keep finding a card from a lassie I used to get along with. She came from Selkirk. I wonder sometimes if I should drop her a line but then I put it off because we lost contact so long ago. Maybe I should hunt it out and just do it eh!
P.S changed me pic.
Nice pics folks :)
I am feeling left out so I will post mine ;D
(http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c386/the_sexy_snail/snail.jpg)
Hope it works.
It is just a test run as I have never posted pictures before. ;D

Nice photos, girls.
And very sexy, Snail!
Search & Rescue? Nostalgia. I directed it for 4 years. And did a lot of it in my Shackleton time at Ballykelly.
Aha change of colour Helly !!! Still lovely though :)
Derekthefox :D
Nice Photo"s you RAF Types ;D ;D
Snail Great
Cant beat those Dutch Oak Beds from Venlo
Svea is that the bridge over the Dee at Cambus o May???
We were there last summer and I have promised the children we will go back this year to jump off it!
Crikey - getting near to 3000 viewings now although getting hard to track down all the pictures! Have to say I'm impressed though. I'd nearly given up on the daily mail article having got squinty eyes from trying to find these "lovely women all taking to allotments".
At last I know where you've all been hiding ;D
Does that get me some extra points for Christmas......... ;)
Perhaps we need a rogues gallery..... ;D ;)
;D ;D
Icybergjunkie ;D ;D
So nice to put a Picture to Every name...dont you think....
Absolutely No Points ...No Creeping PleaseHahahah ;D ;D ;D
QuoteCrikey - getting near to 3000 viewings now although getting hard to track down all the pictures!
I think this is a good point, first made by Tim about 20 pages ago!: maybe if Dan turns this into a sticky thread we should go back and delete our non-picture posts?? Feel like I've created a monster!
Svea you have VERY nice clothes. Sexy Snail please face the camera next time, ok...
I disagree terracemax, this is a social thread, and the banter is part of the thread. I am all for having a sticky with only pictures in it, however.
Derekthefox :D
If that can be arranged DTF, I agree wholeheartedly: best of both worlds...
Perhaps Dan would know the best way to address this then ...
Derekthefox :D
Go on Derek, you ask...
Well apathy is my middle name, and my face is already on my avatar ...
Derekthefox :D
Big girls blouses...!! I've PMd, am now running for cover!!!Blamed you lot, said you were holding my DMs to ransome..... ;D ;D ;D
Thank you lottie ...
Did you get the bit about splitting the photos from the banter Ms Secretary Plan?
Mmmm no.....she says putting pen behind ear and pelting off to address the issue...... this is why I'm a gardener.... ::)
i am LOVIN' this thread! ;D
our picture is on our avatar thingy and i have no idea how to post another one!
i just can't believe i imagined you all soooooo wrong! :o
i thought gardengirl was about 19 and terrace max was chubby (i have no idea why)
this is such fun ;D ;D ;D

Dear me Nathan, you had better watch out. Your are 'in' for it now..
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Dave just got home (drunk as a sack ::))
he would like it to be known that (tho incapable of typing himself) that this thread is ALL WRONG.
wardy is (and i quote) an "old lady in an apron." doris pinks is "well old, grey and fat" she must be. (apparently)
tulip23 is s'posed to be a woman and where'd he steal that bike?
OH BOY...some of you guys are in for it this morning!
I'm going to escape into the garden and let you sort it out amongst yourselves...
BTW Tara, I don't mind being thought of as chubby - but the reality is very different. I believe 'ripped' is the appropriate adjective? Anyway, you have lovely hair  :)
Methinks you are stirring it a little bit Tara (giggle ... )
Derekthefox :D
I think everyone else is still asleep DTF. Or hiding from Wardy and Doris P....
The latter seems more realistic ...

Oh Jimbo, shes gorgeous!! And I may be a bit slow, but I did kinda gather she didn't have the long white beard.... ::) And nice to meet you too!!
And no way in heck was I coming anywhere near this til Wards had seen I was in no way involved in Nathan and Dave's posts.... ;D ;D ;D Not completely mad and don't have a death wish....Morning all, and by eck it's freezing!!!!
Wow Jim, never realised you were so small. Enjoy seeing Santa did you? :D
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, just realised that YOUR santa, that makes a bit more sense!
Do you dress like that often? or just sundays?
;D ;D ;D ;D
Errm Adam ... aren't you forgetting something ...like YOUR PHOTO. You're not allowed in here otherwise... ;)
Jimbo That is a lovely pic. Is she saying "Where is my Dad?"
Jimbo ;D ;D ;D Nice One
First class, Jimbo, you deserve to smile ...
Derekthefox :D
OKAY LOOK, i'm not responsible for what i may have said. (newky brown made me do it) ;)
to doris and wardy i'm sorry. Â :P
i only meant you seem so warm and snuggly in your replies that i thought youd be more mumsie. honest. ;) ;)
i didn't expect you to be so slim and beautiful. you can't blame a bloke for being gobsmacked  ;D ;D ;D ;D
am i back on your xmas card list now? :'(
dave. Â :-\
I'd stop digging Dave, if I were you. Time is the only healer with Wardy. I speak as one who knows...
You may need to grovel just a bit more Dave, but that seems the right way to carry on ! ;D
Derekthefox :D
Well, I think there's only one way to make amends...... an embarassing pic of yourself for Wards and Doris to mock is the only way forward.... ;D
..... and I'll bet a nice bottle of vintage Port in the post wouldn't go amiss either. It could easily have been me Dave sooooooooooooo easily ! *grinz*
Good plan Lottie and can DP and Wardy have a little help from their friends too ;) ;D
Thanks, you lot. I think she knew where Daddy was, but was more interested in finding her Mummy!
Plenty to smile about!
If you would like to see us in a more formal setting, we have recently posted a piccy on the Simple Come Dancing thread.
Check it out!

TM,
thank you
seeing that dave and nathan were coming out with 'presumptions', i must admit that although most people look like i imagined them (well, some use photos as avatars, no?, terrace max surprised me by being nearer my age than tim's ;D. i thought he was 'old league' if you see what i mean.
well, and as for sexy snail........
Hence the value of 'profiles' - especially if everyone would enter location, sex - & age?
Well, Sexy.... ;D I have to say I knew you were a bloke, but you're supposed to be 302? ??? ;)
I agree there Tim, simple basic information does save confusion ... I remember that in some of the old msn chat rooms it was mandatory to provide your ASL - age, sex, and location upon entering.
Derekthefox :D
Jimbo - Â ;D :D
Delighted to meet you sexy :D
Lottie - Â ??? ::)
we couldn't enter genders and ages 'cos there are two of us on one user name!

'Morning Folks (just).
Just been having a look at this thread. And BOY did it take some doing looking through 28 pages! Being more interested in the pics than the chat, I had to do a lot of 'speed reading' just to get through it all.
Looks like we need to seperate out the photos from the chat. Someone computer literate of course........Who me? Might be persuaded to to the job.......
I am afraid i have no current pictures of myself. More used to being behind the camera than in front of it. ;D
Emma done that, further down.
Rogues Gallery in Shed the Shed :)
Okay, found EJ's thread. PHEW!!!!! Saved a bit of work there, though i was rthinking about putting them all in Photobucket or webshots and just linking them to an A4ALL thread.
I suppose that could still be done. Could put the link in the 'sticky' topic so it doesnt get lost and all (should) be able to see it.
PS Am thinking of having a few picies taken of moi so that i can post something.
Just to be going on with heres one taken a couple of years ago

Hey Adam....! Icy and Max.....you're minds works in a very strange and mysterious way.......
If I was going to make a veg whip...it would have to be with goosegog branches....... ;D will let you know how that goes..
I have just been looking at my picture, and feel it may need to be updated ... I appear to have lost a bit more hair over the last couple of days.
Derekthefox ;D
QuoteIf I was going to make a veg whip...it would have to be with goosegog branches.......
Strictly speaking, that would be a soft fruit whip... Perhaps cardoon would be a more apposite choice?
True, yes a very valid, though one could say fussy point ::), think a mixture may work well.....I'll experiment and get back to you....
Or perhaps courgette or cucumber branch - they leave the prickles behind? :o
Excellent Icy.
How's the experiment going Lottie?
Well....she says whilst trying to yank a bramble out of her hair.... ahem...unfortunately, I left the cucumbers on the plant, so its quite heavy, and hard to thrash about.....brambles are nice and whippy....darn.... trying to remove from socks....get back to you......mutters under breath and drags it away...... ::)
What has happened to the sister thread to this one, there are now posts ...
I thought the idea was to keep it just down to pictures only ? I am guessing that the posts were done in error?
I still can't see half the pics though, just a red cross.... :( in EJ's I mean..
Isn't that a cheese? ???
I have absolutely no idea what you mean Ady.....sorry! Try slowly with little diagrams and the odd gesticulation...

It's really good seeing pix of everyone!
Even Adam!! ;)
Hiya treacletops, lovely to meet you! I shall plonk your gorgeous wedding photo on the rogues gallery shortly.
Sorry if some of you are having trouble seeing the pics, I have them on photobucket and find that at the moment it is a touch slow.....maybe lots of people downloading Christmas photos....
Also, please please pretty please do not add natterings on the rogues gallery thread. I will attemp to keep booting it up to the top, and will add photos everytime a new one appears. It would be lovely to keep it as an album just of names and faces, and keep this lovely long thread of chatterings and natterings and gossip for that. I am not trying to be an old misery, I hope you know me better than that, but these threads can have a life of their own, and before you know it, the photos will be lost again.
Thanks to everyone who has posted pictures, it is fantastic to meet you all and I am constantly amazed at how wrong I have it with some of you! Keep the pictures coming! ;D
Yo, Ady!!! Plants big kiss on his cheek!! No red boxes and I have cheese!! ;D
Thank you!! And.....I'm pelting about all over the place... :-*
I thought that I would say NO to a brunette, Emma - BUT............................!
I have to second Tims thoughts Emma. Great pic and "WOW!" for the hair :D
However, thats an easy statement you make>>>

infact TM, you get the award for the funkiest hair, just decided.
Was a close one though between you and Derek... ;D

I'm pleased you noticed the care and attention that has been lavished on my perfect locks Adam. It takes an exacting regime of neglect and grime to get them to that state... :)
Hitchin A Ride has been my Xm*s song of choice this year....

Yes, HAR is good, prfer the older stuff, like brain stew...been learning a lot of it on bass guitar. :P

I would never have got that. Green Day - big band?! When they've been around another ten years I might agree that they're 'big'.
(I've just realised that my Dad used to say similar things to me.)
When they have been around another ten years they are past it.
PS I am not into many big bands.
Glen Miller...Brilliant...wrong era, sorry, but wow! ;D
i think 16 years as a band warrents big, also winner of many many many many awards this year. as well as best international act  ;D
Sellers of many albums and singles, a sell out world tour, including aking a video at milton keynes too 130,000 people in two days. thats just this year.
They still not big?

Well OK, I just look down my nose at 'punk' type bands 'cos I spent my early 20's listening to the Clash, Sex Pistols etc and to me punk died out a long, long time ago.
Oh dear just seen this thread, I'm a bit scared to post my pic but well you did ask for it, last time I tried to post one it was way too big, hang on lets see.yep it happened again, I'll try to adjust it.
C'mon Val - you can do it!

Errm are you the young one on the left? ???
Hey Val!! Lovely to see you and your baby!! Can't imagine the size of the pram though....;D ;D ;D
I wish ;D ;D...nope thats my other baby, the youngest of 4.
Its strange no one is anything like I imagined, Steve, you are nothing like I thought you was. You're better looking ;).. The dogs are my babies now and they won't go in a pram...thank goodness, I like my babies independant.
Hi Val. Very pleased to meet you. Another for the rouges gallery.Have you got over Christmas yet?
Hi Val - lovely to meet you at last. Love all your babies, including the beautiful girl who obviously takes after her Mum ;D :)
Hi all, well... seeing as it's New Year's Eve and all, I thought the world might be ready to see me in all my glory in a skirt. Er, a Kilt, sorry. ;) Never tell a Scotsman he's wearing a skirt with a handbag dangling in front of his goolies! ;D
Well, after being fortified with a wee dram of whiskey or two, here's me in a kilt with my Hearing Dog, Bingley
Drum roll please!

P.S. In case you don't know what a Hearing Dog is, follow this link.
It might be helpful, if I'd have put the link in... It must've been the whiskey I've been drinking, hic! ;) ;D

Dave. That is a super photo. Thanks for sharing. I will look at the link tomorrow, I am very interested but tonight my eyesight isnt too good. No man it wasn't the whiskey it was the brandy ;D Happy New Year.
An excellent photo Dave , no more said !!!
;D Thanks Pat and Lorna, my daughter looks like her dad, thank goodness, except she's the pretty version ;D..I hate having my photo taken, I'm scared I'll break the camera :(..still we can't stay young and beautiful forever...another year and a month and its pension day.. ::)
Dave a brilliant photo, love the dog.
What a fine figure of manhood you are Dave. Great photo :D
A lady from our dog training class used to come with her hearing dog. She also went all over the place demonstrating the skills of the dogs. Went to one of her talks once, really interesting and was amazed at all the different tasks the dogs can undertake :)
DAVE Have looked at the site which you put a link for.. Amazing how these dogs can be trained, and the fact that a lot of the dogs are rescue dogs. So a person and a dog get a better quality of life. Looking at the site it appears that all breeds of dogs can be trained. Amazing.
VAL Never mind pension age, like I told Lottie a while ago Life begins at 40/50/60 and for me 70!! Beauty comes from within and did you know I am only 21,I have just got a vivid imagination ;D ;D who cares my kids love me (like you 4 of them)

Hi John, nice to meet you :)...............but deepest 'where' ??? :-\ ;D
Thanks EJ, can now see Bagpuss & beautiful family :)
Hello Garden Girl
Knoydart is up near Skye , a bit off the beaten track but worth the visit.
Bagpuss just seen the photo, all I can say is awwwwww! Lovely photo of diddy little baby, big sister and proud dad. :)
Nice to see everyone else too. John, that's the kind of place I'd love to go and live, miles away from anyone, although I'm not too sure how well my veggies would grow up that part of the world. :D
Excellent picture John ...
Thanks for the explanation John. I am not very familiar with anywhere north of Watford ;) ;D ;D Sounds a lovely place :)
;) ;) Glad it wasn't just me then Pat...I thought he'd had too much of the tipple and it was a typo ;D ;) ;)
Nooo, its a real place, on the mainland of Scotland but you can't get there by road. Its either a couple of days walk in, or a 45 minute boat ride from Mallaig.
http://www.knoydart-foundation.com/
Are you sure it's not your dinner repeating on you, Wardy?
I love the Scots, my sense of humour, I find the scenery a bit dour, not used to it being a soft southerner.I like my scenery more woody and gentle, its too much wilds for me. ::)
'Dour', Val? - "stern, harsh, gloomy, sullen?? I'll have you know I met my Wife there!!
Tim not the people they're the best. Its the scenery, those hills and mountains, I'm not good on spaces that open and wild.
I had a fabulous weekend camping in Knoydart one, the only problem was the ticks. The place was totally overrun by deer, and they were overrun by ticks; the things were everywhere.

Val, I totally agree with you. We lived near Oban on the west coast of Scotland for 4 years. It's a beautiful place with very friendly people and surrounded by mountains. :) It was lovely at first but after a few years I began to miss the English countryside. :'( It was not just the woodlands, chalk downland and valleys that I missed but also the houses. In Scotland they are very similar wherever you go, but in England there are thatched houses, stone cottages, tiled fronted houses and tudor houses to name but a few. English pubs/inns are also very different, both inside and out. To give an example, how can anything compare with the George Inn at Norton St Phillip with its old courtyard and gallery.
http://www.prattfamily.demon.co.uk/norton/thegeorge.htm
http://www.prattfamily.demon.co.uk/norton/court1.htm
There were one or two pleasant pubs around Oban, such as the Falls of Laura but the inside is all modern. They took out everything that gave it character, when we lived in the area in the 1980's. We stopped going there as it lost all its charm. :'(
I suppose this is all sidetracking off "What do we look like" but has a lot to do with our personalities beneath the photos! :-\
Wardy. Didn't EJ have it locked just to keep it tidy, sorry EJ if I am wrong. I can still view all the photos but I think if one wants to put their pic on they post it to what do we look like.. and then EJ puts it to the gallery section. Sorry Sorry Sorry if I have got it all wrong!!!!!!
Nope, that is right Lorna, I hold the key ;D. Because we all have a passion for a natter, I thought it best to keep that particular thread clean. I didn't know we could lock our threads, Yellow Petals pointed me in the right direction, so now it can just be a rogues gallery. Making it sticky is what I am after so it can stay at the top of the page.
Wardy.. Aha I actually got something right!!!.Also proves that I do read some things on here., actually I must read most of the things, just look at the time I spend on here!!
T'other thread has been made sticky - wey hey :D
'Ere, I just noticed there's no pic of you in this gallery, Jaggy!
Does anyone know why half the time the 'post' button doesn't work? >:(
Glowworm. Haven't noticed anything. Do you mean when you are trying to post pics or just ordinary posts?
Glowworm. PS take a look in the shed I have an idea.

sorry Ady, but that was hesitation and deviation ;D

How are you btw? Haven't seen you around much recently but then I've been rather scarce too.
Hi Plocket, yes I saw the other pics of Wills, and he is just as I thought he was and you are too. I sort of nip in here now and again, I can't ever keep away from my gardening and do love this site, but I mainly post on the oldies sites for a chat and put the world to rights but everyone seems a bit tetchy at the moment, zimmer frames at the ready so I've been on an international site..seems more peaceful, mostly Americans I think and they are all so polite to each other, not like the Brits at all ;D ;D, I see your name now and again , its good, so I know you're okay.Val.x

still some swelling but I am assured that there will be a small dent there when settled.
from Everest head to divot head...lol
Only just seen this CG - must have been pretty traumatic, hope it all works out well in the end!!
CG, my mum had one of those further back on her skull - we called it her 'bump of knowledge' ;D Think it was originally caused by a netball post falling on her when she was a child; caused this lump of ganglia which grew and grew over the years. She'd sometimes talk of having it cut out, but with naturally curly hair (and a bit of back-combing) she never did.
Strange thing, tho ::).......in old age she developed dementia. I used to do her hair for her every week. Suddenly realized that the lump had gone! So praps we weren't too far from the truth all those years ago ;D ;D ;D

Mm. Just a light drizzle when this was taken, Tim - unlike on the tops of Scafell Pike and Skiddaw. Wouldn't have made it up there and down again without the stick. Change and decay....

This is all new to me so please be patient as I go along
My husband & I live in Northern Portugal just a few miles from the Spanish border.
We have lived here for ten years with up to very recently not much success with growing our own vegetables with the aim of being organic and eventually self sufficient. Over the last Christmas/New Year period we decided to take a hard at what we have being doing in the past 9 years and plan for big changes in 2014
Ours is a very interesting story which can be best illustrated by looking at these two links

I am looking forward to participating actively in this forum as we are constantly looking to find ways to improve our vegetable growing skills
