Has anyone ever tried making cheese? I gave it a go a few years ago but have lost the easy recipes I kept. Got any recipes for easy cream cheese?

Sorry.
I've never been blessed before..... 8)
I've made paneer which is easy
Also I make Yogurt "cheese" which is made by straining yogurt through a piece of cloth or a proper yogurt strainer, and you end up with a thick curd like "cheese" which although not technically cheese can be used on crackers etc when mixed with your fave things, eg chives,
spring onion and mint, coriander and lime, etc etc. Less fattening than full fat soft cheese anyway and no-one would know the difference :)
I love the stuff :)
that sounds nice...might give it a go ;D
mmmmmmmmmmm, my mum makes that wardy, and stores it in olive oil. You can mix alsorts of lovely things with it, or make it into balls and roll them in yummy things.
Eh I'd not thought of that EJ. Will give that one a go. I've got some good olive oil in t'pantry
Ta!
yes it sounds fascinating, and I certainly fancy having a go if I can make the time ...

Derek If you're a curry fan then making your own yogurt is just an extension of that
Instead of marinating in oil you marinate in yogurt ;D plus all the lovely curry spices ;D
The paneer is of special appeal, I adore what I have tasted, I have even ordered paneer instead of meat in curries ... we already often marinate in yoghurt ...

I have a fabbo recipe for paneer curry Derek which I will dig out for you. The masala is to die for

Somebody posted a site on here that had how to make your own cheese at home, thought I had put it in my favorites but can't find it!
Done search but there are 10 pages for cheese! :o
If anyone facies looking it is in A4All somewhere! ;D
Speaking of cheese ...... I forgot to mention Derek when telling you about paneer that the "water" from it is used as a rinse for your hair. Then remembered you don't have any ;D
Well I have hair in other places ...

Nver on here without it Derek ;D. I'll get my excuse in first. Saw the graphic, liked it and was looking for an excuse to use it.
Then I just hope that is sufficiently convincing ... ;D
