Spotted a (former?) A4Aer on a knitting forum (!) today. Got me wondering if you lot appear on other forums?
It wasn't me ;D Can you knit anorl then TM ?
Can't even sow :(
The missus is a knitting obsessive, though.
which knitting forum?
should we have a thread where we can put the addresses of the other forums we all visit?
i really only use this forum on a regular basis.
TM I can't sow for nuts but I have managed to take to upholstery despite that :)
Hmmm I don't think so, as other forums are only used by me for information, except for the audioscrobbler forum, which is a music forum ...
Derekthefox :D
Here is it, bar visiting other sites for info, though I do belong to the one "How to improve your spelling in under 3 months..." and it's goonig raely wel... ;D ;D ;D ;)
Apart from the beeb, which seems a bit dull to me, are there any other vegetable gardening forums?
Gardener's Corner and Real Gardening both have Veg sections, though not as well poulated as here. And of course there is Allotments Uk.
Beeb, but am slowly fading out on there.
A4A for ever and boo hiss to the others. :)
I'm on lots of ancient coin, Biblical Studies and beekeeping forums, but this is the only gardening one.
Yamaha Thundercat site and a Honda CB500 site. Â Realgardeners and Gardenweb, but rarely. Â On those other sites I am Mrs Ava.
I'm a member of a few other gardening forums but rarely post as they're pretty tame compared to A4A. I also manage a celebdaq forum and use an invite only torrent site.
I frequent a trivium board (I used to be a host & a player), War on Terror board, Iraq board (phew, gets rather heated at times!) and some music boards.
i visit a couple of playmobil forums - as if you hadn't guessed that i collect those little people ;D
I'm not telling :P
Chickens for beginners? ;)
Does it involve carol singing?
Is this thread worming its way into the watershed ?
Derekthefox :D
Sincere apologies folks - thinking out loud again - duly edited last post :-\
I am a member of De tuinkrant (Belgium and Netherlands) en Tuin en Natuurportaal. I read sometimes the Gardenweb and Gardens in Cornwall, may be strange, because I do not live in Cornwall. ;D
Only pop in to have a Gander ::) Â Derek the fox there's a Joke there somewhere ::)

Hey Tulip, single swing arm?? Sounds like a bag of spanners! ;D ;D ;D Sleek machines though. We have our Wales adventure already planned for next May, hoping to top the number of bikes this year - 70 bikes all together riding through the Welsh countryside is a site to behold! ;D ;D ;D ;D
Used Impsight (http://boards.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=961&p=16&forumid=3264&style=1) a lot but slowly losing interest as members of the BNP take over and now mainly use LincolnImps
(http://www.lincolnimps.co.uk/forum/)
Also occasionally visit GardenBanter (http://www.gardenbanter.co.uk) but have never posted and there is a new forum at Kitchen Garden (http://www.kitchengarden.co.uk/forum/index.php) but have not joined there yet.
As for the beeb (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/mbgardening) losing interest like you others.

Yeah DTF, what ya got against carol singers? Mr Bah Humbug! ;D
Clanger - boring question alert - how do you get your url's into text like that? I can do it on other forums but not here...
Change the second square bracket in the first [url] to an =. Put the square bracket at the end of the URL and write the link name between the ] and the second [url]
PS I learn these things by pressing quote in a relevant post and it is there in front of me writ small so to speak.
Thanks RC - I would never have guessed how to do it!
E.J ;D

Derekthefox :D
You play the part well DtF but don't forget I know you love Chrimbo really ;D
I still love Mamta - for cooking - but she's just lost all her history through hacking. http://www.mamtaskitchen.com/
Bah humbug Delilah ... It is the insanity which prevails at Christmas which has turned me off it, as if suddenly everyone has to be ecstatically happy, and indulge in excesses ... I don't have a problem with the religious side, although it doesn't interest me, except from a didactic point of view, and I find the pagan elements, eg yuletide, more appealing. But essentially it is the physical act of celebrating which I find a burden, I prefer to keep my joys within ...
I'll just put my soapbox away ...
Derekthefox :D
I like it when the shortest day has been and gone and we can get down to talking about chitting spuds again!
cor blimey now you've got that off your chest, I'm only teasing you Derek ;D
Actually I have a HUGE problem with many aspects of this time of year but to assist with keeping the BP down I have decided to go with the flow and laugh (silently of course) at mad folks I see around me, charging around, worrying about  this and that and then collapsing in a heap on christmas eve declaring "thats it I'm done".  trouble is they are so exhausted and wrapped up in the commercialism of yuletide that they've not enjoyed any of the prepartions, nativity plays, Christmas parties etc
I'm not a religious person and concentrate on the family element and those less fortunate then ourselves at this time of year (and the Winter solstice of course) and how proud was I yesterday at my daughters school when during the Christmas Concert she read out a poem she had written  about Christmas.  the theme of the poem was family NOT about how big and how many pressies she wants from Santa.
Going back to the original thread I enter and observe in many other forums but only post in here.
Tease away Delilah, it is this light heartedness which keeps me and so many others from going ga ga, and I have been there, never again. It is a shame there isnt a forum where we can get a bit of sunlight, but this forum is the next best thing ...
Derekthefox :D
I am afraid I have to admit to frequenting a couple of Trade forums in the past but they seem to have degenerated into a series of slanging matches..so don't bother so much these days especially now I have A4A to lift my spirits
One of the first gardening sites I came across was "GardenGuides" in the US of A... interesting .... they cover all of the US and they have so many different climate zones
Derek
I post on the Beeb's design board a lot - have found the people there very friendly (not that A4A isn't friendly too!!). Got fed up with their clinic board though - same questions going round & round. Now and again I visit http://www.carryongardening.org.uk/, which is for disabled/older gardeners, and when I have time I go to Jasper Fforde's fforum (he writes sort of comic science ffantasy, for anyone who hasn't heard me rave about his books before). And you might very occasionally see me lurking (well, you wouldn't see me if I was lurking, but I do post once in a blue moon) in a health site or two.
I pop in to Flaked out Fish Wives occasionally when there's a lull on A4A
Hi Juliet.
