Title: Weather Forecasts
Post by: DaveM on December 02, 2005, 14:18:05
Took a day off work today. Has to be booked at least a week in advance so you takes your chances with the weather this time of year.

During the week checked many weather forecasts and grew dispondant about my chances of
getting to the allotment as the forecasts ranged from light rain all day to a biblical deluge.

So i arranged to help out with some running about for me mum.....helping out the father in law....

Guess what?... it hasn't rained since 7.30am the suns out and i am a bit miffed.

How can they predict the coldest winter in ten years when they can't get Fridays weather right on Thursday night's forecast?

Rant over...

Cheers

Dave

True,

My Grandfather's house looked out over Swansea/Mumbles bay - he always maintained that if you could see the Mumbles lighthouse,  then it was going to rain - if you couldn't see (which was most of the time) - it was raining!

Yes it is there new computer system that is supposed to be better than the last one that is said to read the weather as it is going to happen. Since the upgrade they have 99.9 % of the time got it wrong so what does that tell you? I think the old maps where the country was green instead of a desert sand colour was better as was the old computer system. ;D
