- who said 'send us some snow'? No, Emma dear, not you!!
Brother-in-law rang at tea-time from Cumbria asking if we had 2" of snow. I said no - 1/2" & then rain. It then got dark while I was writing a long spiel on the PC. About 7pm, daughter rushed through with her camera - I looked out - thanks Emma. Five inches in Gloucestershire in 3 hours!!
Sadly, the thaw set in rapidly, so the pics are not as impressive as they might be.

The town I am in, doesn't seem to get snow that settles. In the villages a few miles out, they get snow, but they are higher up and/or further from the sea.
I want to build a snowman.
Sorry Tim, but am sooo jealous!! Lovely pics, by the wayIt's just bitter here in Suffolk, and Mags wants to build another snowman, her last attempt was when it was thawing last year.......she's pretty determnined.... hunted high and low for every last scrap of snow!
A parrot, Lottie??
Help yourself, Mia!
Shame that the grandchildren (who w/e next door) are at school in London - all the kids here are out with their toboggans.
Tim!! Tst! Isn't obvious? ??? It's Barbie of course! ::) ;D ;)
Yes Tim, last night was rough even here in Coventry. It was almost a whiteout as I walked home from College, then later in the evening it all froze rather hard. I foresee lots of small motor insurance claims. It is horrendously icy everywhere here now, all the college paths are covered in sand, so it is rather messy for our OFSTED inspection !!!

Good luck for that, Derek!
I saw last night on the news that gloucs was getting snow - thought you'd get more than that from what they were saying! Looks lovely!
There hasn't been enough snow where I live to build a snowman for 15 years!
It's actually warmer here now.
Thanks Tim, I think a lot of luck is needed. I have very clear attitudes towards the way the college operates, and have voiced them within our school. This stems from a career in industry and business, where quality of delivery is essential. A lost voice again, alas. However this is off topic, so I will shut up ...

In Essex, the sun is out, the sky is blue, there's not a cloud to spoil the view!
The clouds in Birmingham were so black today that I misread the number on the front of the bus this morning and got on the wrong one.
Lovely pics Tim! Same here 'over the road'.
Today?......ugh! Even Lurcher didn't want to go out.
Bring back out snow!
