I planted some potatoes in pots about10/12 wks ago, and this frost has cut all the greenery down to nothing, now what happens please, do i leave them to continue to grow? or what shall i do next, get rid of them.HEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!.
They won't grow any more now. You can leave them in the ground ( one of our gardeners didn't pull last years charlottes till February this year ) but you could find the ground frozen when you do want them. By get rid of them I presume you mean dig up and store as they're probably an ok size anyway.
Thank you DJ, i thought i might have to throw them away so glad i can dig them out.
If they are tiny I would wash them over well and use them as new spuds. Call them the late mans new spuds :D Nice in a stew. Remember wash them well.
