I use Trillian which incorporates all of the buddy list peeps (AIM, Yahoo, MSN etc etc) but it's the same old thing isn't it? If you click on unknown links that suddenly appear in your IMs (that's how this particular gremlin is spread) then you're basically asking for trouble and can not blame anybody else for the hassles it starts.
