Do you know what's is made out of? Pots or one in the ground?

Personally I think they are lovely and I love the symbolism - the wheel being the wheel of eternal life.

Crimbo pressie?

On a practical level, they are a means of keeping the herbs together but the roots separated. Beyond this, the concept has been organised to make the wheel attractive, and as Aqui has pointed out, there is symbolism there as well. A rather nice gift, I would have thought ...

What a lovely pressie ;)

So some herbs don't get swamped by others, just be careful what you put in there! ;)
