I've just noticed!! There's now 3,000 members on A4A!! :o Begsy the sofa!! ;D
Lottie
Yes amazing isn't it only seems like yesterday that there was under 1,000 members
Where are they all then, Richard?? ??? Though imagine many sign in, never to return...evil laugh...
Lottie ;D
Yes, but that is after a clearout I think... for there were well over 3000 a few weeks back. I think Dan removed some of the 'dormant' members perhaps.
Derekthefox :D
Probably locked in your shed lottie.........
;D ;D ;D Wondered why it was creaking...
Who's for the chop then Wardy?? Remembering that I'm quite sweet, small and don't take up much space....Ooo yes, and I can hold a headstand for ages..can't let that talent go!!
Lots ;D
I remember when we had just over 300 people and that sounded a lot. :D busy_lizzie
I've just become a full member, Yippee, please don't lock me in the shed, :'( I don't like the dark and what about the spiders. ;)
Lily
Yes BL i remember when that number was great and we all got excited as the numbers were going up, where are some of our old friends i wonder??. It is amazing how many are on site now but i suspect lots signed on and never came back again.
So which one of you is the gabbiest. ;D ;D ;D
Lily

Surely EJ must be well in front.  ;D ;D ;D
Lily
So there are lots of peeps probably watching and hanging around but not posting - spooky!!!!!!! :o
EJ is definitely in front. If you click on Members List and then on the number of posts, it orders the names by the number of posts. Oh yes - EJ at 7082 followed closely by Tim at 6882.
Can anyone say why some folk are labelled YABB god and some as Pics?

EJ, Tim then Wardy.............. I'm 132nd. Sad isn't it but I did count. I've no chance of catching up. ;D ;D ;D ;D
Lily
Just had a quick look at members list and I think the most shocking statistic is that EJ and Tim registered in 2003 whereas Wardy hasn't even been jabbering on here for a year yet and she's third on the list - but just you keep blathering on Wardy cos we love your posts!!!!!!!!
I ve just found another stat - total hours spent on-line!!!!!
Don't know if I should be posting this on the addiction thread cos I confess to 2 days 16 hrs and 27 minutes and I've only been registered since September :o
WARDY.....Re Delillah's post....... Kettle calling the saucepan or is it Saucepan calling kettle. LOLLOL Just keep going both of you otherwise what will I do with my evenings?
Pathetic? NO better than watching rubbish on that thing that sits in the corner ;D ::)
Couldn't agree more, Lorna!! Can't think of one thing at all on TV that grabs me now, bar River Cottage and Buffy the Vampire Slayer....Oooo yes, and 4400 and not forgetting.... I meant the News....and erm....Clever programmes.. ;D ;)
You are spot on about the telly undercarriage mind you David Attenborugh's programme might be worth a look tonight, looks like I shall have to tape Grand Designs
Bless you, Richard!! Had completely slipped my mind, love his stuff....had written it down too, close to where I keep things safe.....never to be seen again.... ::) ::) ::)
Lottie
A must for me as well tonight. I just rang my sister in Kent and she reminded me. five mins to go!!
Blabbermouth - how polite Wardy, you just keep getting posher, I usually just get called Gobby.
No what you all mean about TV I've just got in from work Hubby is fast asleep supposedly watching Lost - he did tape River Cottage and Jamie Oliver so might watch those in a while - I used to watch Grand Designs but it just amazes me how much money and stress creating the "perfect home" can cause, I did enjoy the one about the man who built house in his own forest!!
It is definitly the post per day stat that needs most attention.
EJ - 8.804 per day
Tim - 8.504 per day
Wardy - 13.661(http://bestsmileys.com/sick/9.gif)
And down in 16th
redclanger - 5.200 per day (http://bestsmileys.com/bowing/1.gif) I thank you.
Moonbells - I think some people have pics under their name because they've given Dan money to be able to post photos here - there's a thread about it in the News section. YABB God is over 500 posts, isn't it? - over a certain number, anyway.
Lottie - what do you mean "the News ... and erm ... Clever programmes"? Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a very clever programme! - way cleverer than the news!!
Blimey! Anyone would think I had something interesting to say!! Must leave this computer turned off!!
NAH!!!! Hey, 10p listing day on ebay today for any of you sellers out there! ;D
I think on any website you will always get a large number of " non active" members
My son set up a website for sign makers and there are quite a few people who register but never post to the site. I think he deletes any member who hasn't posted for a year.. Mind you I am flipping glad that not all of the 3000members post to the site. I spend far too much time on here now, garden doesn't get neglected but the housework does ;D Lorna.
Can't do without my A4A. So many very nice peeps.
Lorna your cormlets are in the post as we speak. Thanks again for the basil. :)
Lily
Cheers Lily.
Ooo another Buffy Fan, though I didn't say that........and I have just hoovered, somewhere....... hoping it wasn't OH that went up the spout......well, if he will lay around the place... ::) ;D ;)
Housework, what's that. ;D ;D I'm off work (holiday) all this week, had great intentions of going to lottie each day, only managed twice (to put something on the compost) and start cleaning house for Christmas. I managed to clear out 2 cupboards and 1 drawer in the kitchen and haven't done anything else since. Why?, you ask, A4A!!!!!!
Spent a good half hour ordering Free seed from RHS (members only) only to have computer crash at vital moment and had to start again.!!
Still smiling though ;D ;D
Lily
Similar here, Lilly, but have been nursing OH (using term very loosely..) have to admit to going bit stir carzy now...or just crazy...mm...OH desperate to escape, may allow him out tomorrow.....if he behaves.. ;D ;D ;D ;)
Tell you something Undercarriage, looking at your picture can you come and nurse me when I am bad. Please.
;D ;D ;D
Richard, now you really should be asking yourself why my OH is hammering and scratching at the door trying to escape.......is not a pleasant experience, really........Agapanthus is trying to move out of area due to my imminent arrival with sink plunger to aid with Huckleberry poisoning....count your blessings, really......!! ;D
I think a lot of people are like I was at the beginning. It took me 3 months or so after joining to read through and digest all the wonderful posts and to get the feel of the board before joining in. Soooo glad to be a part of it now though. :)
Looks like people are registering daily. 3 have registered today. Taking total to 3006.
Hello, whoever you are and wellcome.
Does the webmaster make any money from all this.
Is this a .com fenomanomanom!!!!!!! :o :o
Lynn
I have just done my bit of checking, I am about 17th or 18th position I think. About time I did some more posting ...
Derekthefox :D
You need to look to Wardy for advice Derek ;D
Lily. How is the cupboard cleaning etc going. I had to tidy my wardrobe this morning so that Lorna jnr could hide some of Joshuas' Christmas presents, she also brought round five with my name on. Now that is cruel ;D In the end I decided to put them in Charlies' wardrobe then I won 't see them so much!!! OOPS sorry folk gone off thread subject AGAIN :-[
Received your package this morning thanks.

Continuing off thread for a moment. Cleaning cupboards have come to standstill.
Went into town this morning, for a bit of Christmas Shopping. Talk about someone watching over you. With heavy shopping in hand I was walking back to the car, thinking I could do with a sit down and a nice cup of tea.
The sun was glaring in my face as I walked down Briggate, when I saw a figure come towards me. It was a market reseach Lady. I found myself saying 'yes' to everything she said, and found myself following her down a dark alley :o :o into one of the oldest pubs in Leeds. We then proceeded upstairs into an empty room!! (If this had been a bloke - sorry fellas, I might have thought twice)
She then said, would I like a cup of tea. Well, there I was having a nice cup of tea and a sit down in front of a lap top giving my opinion of soap powder and other related products. After 15 mins I was on my merry way.
Someone must have heard my prayer, and I got my request.
The downside is that I took me into the next hour of parking. >:(
Cupboard cleaning may continue later.
Lily
Glads you had a good morning ;D ;D
Dont worry Delilah, I can make my own way, trust me!!!
Derekthefox :D
I just wonder why people say "trust me" any reason why we shouldn't?? ;D
In my case Lorna, perhaps you should ask the audience !!!
Derekthefox :D
Hi everyone,
My first post, ever, anywhere.
I've lurked in the dark hole of guestland for about a year now and finally taken the plunge and registered a few days ago.
Could I be no. 3000? Always sure I was somehow special.
Thanks for all the informative and v. entertaining posts.
Welcome Boris. Have a good look around. Lots of knowledgable people . Hope you enjoy Lorna.

Hey Boris. Glad you leapt into the frey!! Have fun and welcome... ;D How do you check who was no 3000? Could be worth a freebie of some description, erm....will ponder, could take a while.... ::) ::) ::) ;)
Lottie ;D
Welcome Boris
Hello Boris :D
Hello and welcome Boris,
Thought you were great on "Have I Got News For You" lastnight
Thanks, RK,
have to admit, I'm not that Boris. He was amusing though.
Can't quite imagine him pootling around an allotment in his wellies, or shovelling horse stuff.
The doctor bloke was a larff too.
