Title: Bright light Chard
Post by: flowerlady on November 20, 2005, 20:02:39
It's now frosty - and it's looking very sad limp!!

Would you recommend putting straw around it?  Or will it perk up?

Mine always seems to perk up.....spinach always looks the same, but as the sun comes up, they look happier!  (I know the feeling!)  However, I see no reason not to protect them if you have access to some straw, can't see it doing any harm.

You mean................?

Too lazy to cloche it this year. But it'll survive.

Can you eat it still after it's been frozen?

Mine only looked slightly sad on Saturday. Reckon it probably looks like Tim's now. Knew I should've picked it, but had dinner already planned and didn't think to freeze it.
