Just wondering what digital cameras do you folk use, mine is just a bottom of the range Kodak CX7330 Easyshare one from Argos. Not very expensive but it seems to do the trick for me, I am very pleased with it. Only had it for about a year now and it shows how well I read the manual , I have only just found out it as a zoom lens. (Am I thick or what).
::)
I've got a bottom of the range Fujifilm Finepix A203 that I've had for a couple of years now. It's OK for mid range shots but the zoom isn't great and it's useless for closeups and indoor (flash) shots. Thinking of upgrading so will be interested to hear what others can recommend. ;D
I have a pentax, four million pixels, i am very happy with. Richard, i still do not know much about my camera after i year. I went on a course with LEARN DIRECT
but found it rather confusing (dosen`t take much) so i never finished it :'( :'( :'(.
I have this weekend bought a book, so we shall see if that helps.
I have got Konica KD-100. Digital Revio. 1.3 mega pixels. Not a top of the range but was bought by my four kids for our 50th wedding anniversary. With the course of the events just after that it has great sentimental value to me AND I can actually take pics with it. Mind you I still insist in cutting peoples heads off ;D
I have a Fujifilm F10 for home and a Fujifilm 810 for work - both are great, especially the F10 as it has a guaranteed battery life of 500 photos. Both take great shots. I do all my PR photography with the 810 and it has never let me down.
(I am a bit biased though - guess where I work  ;D)
Fuji S5600 SLR & Canon A620.
As I've said before, the former does not give me the one thing that I expected from an 'SLR' - a critical through the lens focussing ability. Otherwise excellent. Great reviews. But it's probably going to be sold off cheaply.
The latter - like the positionable 2" LCD viewer.
Olympus mju410 for OH and Olympus Camedia C-310 for the children - the Camedia are better although they were cheaper, my daughter has taken some wonderful photos, she is very into close up photos and has taken some brilliant shots with it. I just borrow whichever one I can find!
Mine is a Pentax Optio 550. Had it two years. Think its a bit dated now but I've had some good snaps out of it.
All Canons here (after being all Olympus for years with film cameras)
simply because I considered compact flash to be a sturdier system than smart media and I wanted a microdrive!
Ixus 40 (tiny!) which is replacement for 5 year old Powershot S10. Has a bit of a chromatic aberration problem on very light/dark boundaries but otherwise is a good replacement and has 3x optical zoom. Has movie mode and memory is SD
EOS 300D with standard 18-55mm lens (equivalent to 29-88mm in old lenses) and zoom 70-300mm (equiv to 112-480mm) which was a second hand bargain and is a lovely lens. Camera has been replaced by a lighter one with better file writing speed and battery life and a few other features but I don't care - love mine. It was the first 'cheap' digital SLR ie one I could save for. This one runs with a 1GB microdrive. I was out the other night taking pics of the moon :) as you do when you're a moonbells!

Love my cameras - original hobby, even predating the astronomy and gardening. I always carry the Ixus with me. Luckily it's tiny - it was a relief to not have to lug the Powershot about any more as it is rather larger!

What a photo!!
Thanks!
I wish sometimes I had one of those posh telescopes that have a motor drive and attachments for cameras so you can take long exposures of planets, nebulae and galaxies, but they cost a fortune and I'm too close to the centre of town for the skies to be dark enough, so I'm left with the moon and a few larger things like the Pleiades and the Orion nebula. One day... when I get that large house with no streetlights, a big enough garden and a squadron of pigs...

Superb pic, Moonbells! I have really, really bottom of the range crap one and hate it!!! Fuji DX8! Have asked for new one for that awful event next year which I daren't mention!! And Hey Lorna!!! Nice to see you! Lovely pic.
Lottie ;D
Thanks UC. (going off subject a bit).Think I have told you. That pic was taken 2 months after we lost Charlie. It was at a surprise 35th birthday party (March 2003)
which we were invited to for my great niece (Cliffe. Kent) Very sad, she died two months later. Her Dr had ignored her when she was 27 when she went to him regarding a lump in her breast..She later won a High Court case for neglect, not that any amount of money could make up!!!!The cancer gradually over the next 7 years spread throughout her body. Boy was she such a positive person, she raised no end of money for cancer charity etc. It was an honour to know her. Lorna.
PS to everyone... never be put off by the "experts" if you feel something is wrong!!
Moonbells - thank you - that gives me the lead to have a long awaited rant in the Shed. After lunch.
I use a Kodak 4330. 3.1 MP. I've had it for 2 1/2 years. Simple to use but the flash is a bit poor. Great for allotment pics though.
John :)
