Title: Whats laying eggs on my curly kale?
Post by: marmite66 on November 16, 2005, 21:41:02
I am newbie. Very proud of my curly kale... looks great. Have tried to pick to eat and it seems to be covered in small eggs underneath the leaves. What is it? Can it be washed and eaten? Can I prevent it?
Help please
Liz

From memory, as I gave what I picked and brought home to the chickens.

Lots of small milky eggs on the under side.

Does this help?

Thanks. It's been an experience learning to wash vegetables after the clinical presentation of supermnarket stuff. The plants look great and on my nutrition course curly kale is such a good food it would have been a shame not to eat them.

Thanks
