Did a search for Christmas Cake recipe and came up with your WI recipe - its baking now and smells devine - thank you.
Have also searched for Chrissy Pud recipe but can't find one I don't suppose you have a recipe do you - I'm asking while using puppy dog eyes to stare at the screen in a begging type manner that no-one could resist ;D ;D
I always make Delia Smith's christmas pudding and can well recommend it. Will hopefully start mine tonight!
I make a pudding recipe handed down in the family it is over 100 years old and I am the only one in the family that knows the recipe and not allowed to divulge or the ex rellies would come down and haunt me! best I have ever tasted, though being the only one in the family with the recipe I have to make everyone elses :-\ Keep thinking I should make them and sell them online! ;D
Until I started making Delia's I always used an old Good Housekeeping Cookery Book given to my Mum in 1955 which was delicious.
I shall dig out my WI book tomorrow, when I get back from helping out on a school trip :o, and let you know! ;D
Thank you very much - hope you enjoy the school trip :D

Oh come on Doris, can't you give us even the smallest hint after tempting us like that?
I need to make a Christmas pudding here in Germany, and would love to take something in to work to blow my colleagues minds... (they love english mince pies and sausage rolls etc, last year I made a christmas cake and took it to work with some decent strong cheddar...
