Title: Poor little field vole
Post by: EmmaLou on November 14, 2005, 20:39:31
Feeling quite guilty! Today I finally got round to digging out a huge pile of carpet on my lottie - it had been left by the last occupiers who had also left a foot of soil on it and loads of weeds had grown through. Anyway...in the process I managed to make a poor little field vole homeless :'(. He had a lovely warm little nest in the middle of the carpet and I ruined it! Hope he doesn't get too cold tonight. :(

Look on the bright side, Emma - at least you didn't spike him with a fork tine!

Don't worry Emma he'll soon build another one - hopefully in a more suitable place.  :D

I spiked a toad once - it was awful!  :(I had to get one of my colleagues to dispose of him. All I can remember was seeing its little legs kicking away. Ever since I have been really careful and check under piles of leaves etc before I stick the fork in.
