Title: Isn't it wonderful...
Post by: Alimo on November 13, 2005, 10:40:14
.. showing little children the garden?

I don't have any of my own, so it is a joy when my great-nephew comes round.  He makes a bee-line for the veggie patch and greenhouse..

He'll be two on christmas eve, bless, and loves the garden.  He planted some broad beans in a pot to take home - he wants to do peas next week.

So Birthday pressie sorted - his own gardening tools kit.  ;D

It is alwas a joy to see little ones taking an interest in the garden, and you can get some great little gardening kits now for children.  Like you I have no little ones in our family, my children are 31 and 28 and strangely enough this year both have started taking an interest in their house gardens. So better late than never.  I look forward to them getting around to growing veggies sometimes.  As soon as I have grandchildren though I will be taking them up to see my plot.  ;D busy_lizzie

Brio do tools for the little green-fingers peeps out there. My little un, now 4, eats broad beans because he helped shell them, and then he has eaten calabrese straight off the plant - can't get fresher than that!!! He helps with the digging (imagine cartoons where they dig with a spade then chuck the diggings over their head...).
