Post by: rosebud on November 12, 2005, 00:00:36
So sad today to hear the news of his death  :(. He always seemed such a nice person and a brilliant photgrapher.

Yes agree Rosebud.  He seemed a very nice man and is to be admired for making his own way in the world and using his talents.  I hear he had his inheritence cut off when he decided to become a photographer.  That is no age nowadays.  busy_lizzie

What a life indeed.  To think, travelling to those luxury tropical islands with some of the worlds most gorgeously sexy woman and to photograph them!  Then to photograph Charles and Diana at their wedding.  Such an amazing life, such a handsome man.  But, that's the way to go, in a blink of an eye.  Safe travels Lord!

I live very close to Shugborough, Lord Lichfield's family home, and only recenty got chatting to a lady who used to deliver goods to the estate. She was telling me what a wonderfully kind and thoughtful man Lord Lichfield was: he chatted to her on her regular visits, and one day asked if she had ever been around the house, to which she said no. He then invited her to visit, and escorted her around the house himself.

Lord Lichfield will be missed, but at least he will be remembered long after we are gone, through his photographs.
