I DID reply much earlier, but my dial up connection suddenly cut out, and I didn't save my lengthy reply to Word before re-booting, and of course lost the lot. I was so mad. Frustrated and dejected. had a frustrating few days so did not feel like coming back on here...
Anyway, we had a good day. I booked in a night here cos it reminded me of our honeymoon in Japan where we stayed in several hotels with onsen hotsprings.

Poolside jacuzzi, and at the end by the brown doors, a sauna on one side and a steam room on the left. Glass window leads to hotel. It's quite cool.
I invited loads of people but few came. It's far from where we live, but mostly I made a rookie mistake. We don't have children and I still think like a singleton, and arranged the party on a Thursday. Bad night, midweek school night and all that. Ah well. it was my birthday.

I haven't been so clean in ages...in and out of the pool/steam room. It was brill.  I had a couple of Guinness alright, but stuck mainly to the cocktails!!!

We upgraded to a suite which compared to our original inside room was magnifico. Top floor, corner room, right on the edge. I never realised with a suite you got a livin' room too!!!Next door, the four poster bed with the panoramic view of Dublin city and bay.

We were shown into the livin' room first and OH checked the toilets. "No bath", she said disappointedly. They like their baths the Japanese. "that's okay, you'll be in the pool and sauna anyway"I said. So we checked the room, coffee table of magazines, hifi system, telly, fireplace. Went into the bedroom checked out the room and the balcony. THEN! OH discovers ANOTHER bathroom, this time with a bath. So she was happy then. (ended up not using the bath in the end)But get this, I don't know what she's like, as soon as she went into the bathroom she proceeded to rob all the toiletries and put them in her bag.
So, for my 40th birthday day out, I had to wash my face with the leftovers of my last 4 imperial leathers, brought from the house!!!

I discovered a splinter in my finger and asked where's the needle packet. "Hang on," she said, " I'll get it out of my bag" and away she went. WE HAVE NEEDLES GALORE AT HOME. I dunno, she must've been a magpie in a previous life.

And then there was the fire alarm, false alarm and then the REAL fire alarm. Grabbed a rasher sangwich for breakfast and legged it down the fire escape to wait in the carpark for the fire brigade to arrive...An eventful couple of days alright..

Could do with a sauna tonight it's flippin freezin, and I'm inside!!!
