Littlest sprogs 10th birthday on Friday so we had a lovely evening with family and couple of her friends, homemade pizza and choccy birthday cake! Yummy!
Saturday, beautiful start to the day, a nip in the air with gorgeous sunshine walked the dog in park rustling through the leaves, just got home before the dark clouds came in and the rain unleashed itself. ( i'm usually the sort of person who has just walked out of the door when the heavens open!)
Had lovely bonfire party in evening with hot dogs and pumkin soup made accoridng to lotties recipe!!!!!!! - everybody including fussy mother in law loved it!!
Sunday, nearly spoilt the weekend the heavens opened so couldn't dig, but I was determined to not let anything spoil the weekend - so cooked instead made scrummy Sunday lunch, egg custard and sausage rolls. Then Scunny became Sunny again so decided to split the crocosmias and plant tulips.
Just about to finish the day with a doorstop sarnie filled with tomato and apple cutney (DP's recipe) and mature cheddar with a glass of re wine curled up infront of fire looking through seed catalogues!!!!!
Boring to some, uneventful to others absolute bliss to me! :D
Just trying not to think about returning to the daily grind tomorrow.
Sounds idillic Delilah....real "darling Buds of May" stuff......
As for the red wine....well you really can't go wrong!

Today I made the most of the bad weather and spent a couple of hours with my 16 month old neice, she has just learnt the words "mine" and "NO" - terrible two's - here we come!! So nice when you can give them back ;D
and have just polished off a lovely roast chicken dinner, not made one for ages! ;D ;D ;D
Sounds just about right to me Delilah!
Yesterday we met our nephew Thomas and had a lovely lunch with the family, then in the evening had a few fireworks with the kids (daughter number one is terrified though, she wants them, but hates them - terrible turmoil!), then when they had fallen asleep, a little early for them, my darling and I stood in number one sons bedroom and could see the local display in all it's glory, in the warm, for free!
Today was a lazy day. My darling spent almost the whole day playing with the kids, whilst I sorted out the housework, and then sorted through all of my seeds and seed catalogues. Packaged up seeds that I owe folks to post tomorrow, then a couple of glasses of the red stuff!
ssssssssshhhhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone, but I am going Christmas shopping tomorrow! :o
