White rot on leeks in a new raised bed.
Is there no justice?
Oh Tim that's such bad news. And yes, I think you're right - not at all fair. Any salvageable?
Yes, most - but it doesn't bode well?
Oh no. And you were so careful to keep tools and boots etc separate.
:(

Oh no Tim, that certainly does not bode well. You must be very unhappy.
Do you just have the one raised bed or did you build 2?
What a nerve! And I thought leeks were a safer bet than onions! I do loose a few, but out of a hundred, may only loose a couple to the dreaded rot. Have planted my hunions on plot number two this year to see if I have any better luck over there....but of course I walk from one plot to the other, so the rot will have travelled. Hey ho.
Looks like you are going to have to raise the beds even higher Tim!
Aww Tim, so sorry, have fingers crossed for you that it doesn't spread.. :-[

DP - I had 4 - but, like an idiot, because they were only 4'x4', I grew garlic in one, leeks in another & spring onions in another. Hoist by my own whatsit!
So  just added 3  more - 6'x3'.
Hopefully you will get a few rot free, thats what I am hoping anyway!
Sorry Tim :( and you are right, there is no justice >:( ??? >:(.
