Title: Strange happenings
Post by: Carol on November 01, 2005, 23:58:46
Today is 'All Souls day'  day after Hallow'een and something strange happened in our house tonight while I was in the Chat room as well.

Loud bang, really loud.  I got a start as so did OH. but we couldnt find where the noise had come from.  OH even went up into the attic to see if something had fallen.  Hour later we found that a very large picture had fallen off a wall and landed on top of our bookcase and had missed = wait for it - 3 glass dishes and an oil lamp.  Was this a spirit at large?  I have been told that today is the day when restless souls are allowed to roam, oh dear.....

eeek! Carol how weird.

I sat up and watched Most Haunted on Halloween night. I was all alone and getting quite unnerved.  I went to bed not daring to look about too much incase I saw something   ;D  Then I saw it...a huge dark mass in the bedroom. It let out a horrible gurgling sound.  Aaaargh what was it?   OH fast asleep full of cold.!

Poltergeist make the noises and move/throw things around to attract attention. The word poltergeist is I think German for noisey ghost. They would not hurt any living person in any way only to attract your attention. It would be quite interesting to see one in action, or to visit a dwelling where apparent poltergiest activity takes place.

Well here goes. For some time now Elsa (the dog) has sat in the lounge and keeps staring out in to the hall, she then cocks her head from one side to the other as if seeing something. Some of you may remember she was my late husbands darling . Last night I got to the stage  of saying "Charlie if you are there please show yourself to me!!"  I was fed up with turning round to look in the hall..Lorna reckons her Dad is still about in the house, well that suits me, I don't have any problem with that.   Lorna.
