Title: HDRA has been renamed?!
Post by: organicartist on October 26, 2005, 10:01:17
Just to let everyone know, HDRA (The Henry Doubleday Research Association) the organic gardening charity, have recently relaunched themselves with a name they feel better explains what they do. They are now known as Garden Organic. Their website has been changed to reflect the new name, but I guess people will still be calling them HDRA for years out of habit.

Yep, there's a thread on here about it and a link for the free packet of seeds they're offering.  Loads on here have ordered them - you can have either rocket or tomatoes  :)

That's better than the 'Get up & Grow' that was suggested earlier!

...and because there was nothing wrong with the old name, members weren't consulted and the new name is pants...

I received my catalogue yesterday - I think that is just the normal course of things - sent out the catalogue to existing customers as happens every year, and nothing to do with the application for organic gardening packs which I think will be sent out under seperate cover.
