Hi Dawn, Horray! the rain has stopped here and we actually have some sunshine this morning and a large patch of blue sky is showing. Looks like it is going to be a nice day for a change. All the very best for your op, will be thinking about you. :) busy_lizzie

My Tuesday has got off to a terrible start but hey I'm not complaining at all.....
Had awful news during the night that my young niece (29) was rushed into surgery with some desparate problem and her husband rang us at midnight to say she was due out at midnight but it was going to take longer but no details. he rang again at 2.00 am to say she had damage to her aorta and they had repaired it, fitted a new tube and she'd had a mechanical heart valve fitted :o My husband spoke to her yesterday and she said she was unwell and had been taken ill at work on Friday, had been taken to casualty but they thought it was a virus picked up in Venezuela where she's been on hols. She was so ill last night that they thought she had perotinitis and then the hammer blow news that she was in some kind of heart failure but wouldn't know the extent of it unless she had surgery. You never know what's round the corner. Just a total shock!
So sorry to hear the news about your niece, Wardy, that must have been a shock. You don't expect to hear of someone who is only 29 having those sort of problems, must have been a pretty vicious virus to have such a devastating effect. Hope the news is good today about her recovery. Not the best way to start the day, but hope it gets better for you all. busy_lizzie
Hope everything went OK, Dawn. And Wardy, blimey, what a shock! Hope she soon gets well. Hate it when the phone goes late at night, heart sinks every time. Best wishes both.

Wardy that's dreadful news. Let's hope the virus has run its course and she recovers fully. She does have youth on her side.
