Title: Houston, we have carrots
Post by: dicky on October 23, 2005, 16:23:37
One thing i have never managed to grow is carrots, this year it took 3 sowing to get anything to come, then loads did together......doh.

These are paramax, and otherwise known as tonights tea.

Should have been a bit bigger but i was very bad at thinning them. Nesxt year i plan a little more military  precsion with my spacing, 3 seeds every 4 inches like one of the old boys on my allotment site.

I grew those Dicky (Paris Market) free with some mag.  I preferred them cooked to raw  :)

I think these ones come up from an end of april sowing, going for cloches at the start next year.

They were lovely, very sweet
