Well still digging my way through the allotment (when its not raining) but I have managed to get some cabbages and onions in and make the place look more respectable.

I have also planted Onions, Cabbages, Garlic, Lettuce and Carrots at the back of the house. I also have some small cauilflower plants in pots (not big enought to be transplanted yet.
The biggest disappointment was trying to get some manure from the local farmer who said he was not delivering until next year, so bought 2 tubs of Pelleted Manure for the potatoes next year.
Hopefully at this rate, lots of veg next year :)
Good stuff Chris :) It's all looking good. I've been on my plot this morning and tidied out the shed. Felt refreshed after doing that job and sowed some oriental leaf seeds, emptied me leafmould bin and spread it out to dry off a bit. Pottered about and generally had a lovely morning. Not another living soul did I see while I was there. Took me wind up radio and listened to some jazz on Parky
Going back after lunch. Happy days
Harvested some celeriac so it's soup again ;D
Well done chris. It looks a nice site and plot you have there. Good luck with your plot and hope your overwintering veg do well.

Thanks Wardy and The_Snail
I wish I could get back down the allotment as it doesn't seem to have stopped raining for 3 days and its forcast for tomorrow also :(
Looking great Chris. You are doing a fab job. :)
Looking good :) I think I must keep the scruffiest allotment going :-[ There should be some kind of prize for that I reckon - it takes dedicated hours of planning to do things, and then finding reasons why I can't just yet, so all in all quite al lot of hard work ;D
It does not matter how scruffy your plot is just as long as you are cropping of it and your are enjoying what you are doing that is all that matters!

Certainly a difference thanks to all your hard work. Heres wishing you all happiness and lots of pickings from your lotty. Lorna.
Thanks all ... all I got this year was 2 rows of potatoes from the allotment, with one of the rows still in the ground :D
It still has not stopped raining either :(
It isn't raining right now, but I don't know how long it's going to be. Part of my plot is beginning to look respectable.
