a colleague of mine was telling me recently of a potato variety called Stiperstones. It was grown in south shropshire (near the stiperstones!) after the war. Apparently it was v dark skinned and a bit floury, but she hasn't heard of it for around 40 years. Have any of you ever heard of it?

I love a mystery but I've searched everywhere for your spud and come up with nowt. If noone here can come up with any better suggestions it might be worth contacting a local potato grower? Here's a link to one:
