Title: La Perrett autospade?
Post by: hawhaw on October 18, 2005, 16:49:26
Has anybody used one of these? http://laperrette.com/eindex.html
Having realised that the spade I saw the guy in the next plot using sells for over £100 (If you can get hold of one) I found these.

Does it also do the weeding, lugging of manure and building of greenhouses?

So glad that there is 'no banding over'!!

Yes - been in for years - but just nothing is 'automatic'?? And think of the weight of it!

No la Perette ... but I have taken the plunge and ordered a Grelinette as my Xmas treat for the lottie ;D as I am a sucker for garden tools :P
http://www.com-nature.com/grelinette/index2.htm
Ideally the operator will look like the nice lady in the hat, especially about the waistline :o (not the chap clutching his back and screaming 'Aiie, mes reins!!!' ;D)
The Grelinette looks like a similar principle to the Perette, but simpler. I had to ring Mrs Grelin in France and negotiate a delivered price delivered to the UK, keeping fingers crossed it arrives safely.
I don't think the Grelinette is serious competition for the Perette which must take the patootie for wierd and wonderful tools ::)

I've found something even better and cheaper for preventing a sore back! I showed OH and he said he doesn't mind doing all the digging.  ;D
