This week's Time Out London (1-7 October) has an article on allotments in and around London. It appears to be aimed at getting people interested in taking on a plot. As well as a few tips on easy stuff to grow for beginners, it has a handful of pieces on people from different sites, including a couple from our site in Hampton Wick! They took over a large triangle-shaped plot right next to the gate, which previously was just about 100% covered in couch grass and a bit of an eyesore, and converted it into a productive plot inside 6 months. It won them last year's 'best newcomer' award at the AGM, and makes a grand sight as you enter the allotments.
That's a bit of good news Speedy :)
