Just been veiwing your lottie diary - very interesting, shame about the housing estate!!!!!!!!
Huge estate going up near us - and its supposed to be green belt land!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the A4A site too you all seem a friendly gang with a wealth of knowledge - think I will be visiting quite often
We all hope it stays that way!
Nice diary, isn't it?
Sympathies. What's green belt these days?? At least the 2 they built adjoining our garden in the centre of a 'green' village are well built. But they are 6' above us. Preferred it as a farmer's paddock.
Judicious use of Leylandii? They went in as 10' trees 4 years ago.

eeep only just noticed I'm being talked about... have a lot of catching up to do in A4A after working flat out at work for the last month for yesterday's deadline! (they now owe me a week of extra time - so not in work this week huzzah!)
Thankyou both. You are most kind.
I think the estate has stopped us being affected by vandals this summer as they are now overlooked. The big test is the Christmas holidays, when there aren't many holiday clubs etc. One can hope...
Birthday today so got taken out for lunch and am finally relaxing! And really nice here - shame the day's gone so fast! Am looking forward to the eclipse tomorrow morning which I can see without having to sneak out every 5 mins assuming no cloud! Intend to go to the lottie and its unobstructed panorama. Got some lovely shots of the Venus transit last year...

So much for the eclipse - wretched weather... oh they think it will be clear *later* but not now... argh!
So here I sit at 8.20am faffing at the PC and hubby says 'so you won't be going to the allotment this morning after all then'
Ha! May be no sky show but I want to dig some of my maincrop spuds!!!
