Title: I'm so excited
Post by: Annadl on September 29, 2005, 08:59:59
Hello everyone.

I have spent ages searching the internet for seed catalogues in Australia and all I have been able to find have been flowers and bulbs.

I finally found on that sells organic vegetables and got my catalogue today!  Hooray, it's just like Christmas.

There is a problem though as some seeds cannot be delivered to Western Australia and Tasmania due to quarantine laws.  It's a bit of a bummer!!  But about half can.  Thank goodness for that it's halved my choice ;D ;D ;D

Now to decide...

wow - excellent!

If you need any help sowing them, then I am avilable - do not need paying living expenses - just the air fare would do!  ;D

It will take me a while to learn how to take photos & post them ::)

Heldi we have the same pests except heaps more ants I think.

Aw Anna I was hoping you'd say Roos nibbling your lettuces!

Do you grow anything that is particular to Australia?

Does the water drain out of the bath clockwise or anti-clockwise?

What does a mad gardener from downunder order from her first catalogue?

Lebanese cucumber
Welsh bunching spring onion
golden nugget pumpkin
radish-long white
turnip japanese
sugarbaby watermelon
sweet potato squash (pumpkin?)
Queen Anne's lace
& Cosmos mixed.

Don't forget it's spring here and I only have a garden 3 metres by 1!!

Planning to do lots in pots with stakes.

Sounds good Anna, but no tomatoes? I can't live without 'em, if i only had room for one crop it would be toms. Or maybe borlotti beans. or courgettes.  ::) ;D

The point is I don't have any room left :D
