Although old, I thought that there was enough good stuff in these to make them worth showing. Especially for the watering regime.
It still amazes me, though, that they have 3 plants to a bag. I find that even 2 get crowded. Even more so with aubergines.

I assume that these can be saved & enlarged.
Have found those a bit tricky to read Tim, but I'm not very good with computers.
Around here there are lots of growers, and I've seen the tomato plants grown commercially.
They often do 2 to a rockwool slab, slab size is about a yard by a foot, and the plants grow to about 20 ft long. The spacing is fine as they take a lot of the leaves off.
It's really interesting to see, as it is so different to growing them outdoors which is the way I have to do it at present.
Sorry - could you not save & enlarge?? Anyone else??
I'm useless at this too!
Commercial - yes. With balanced feed & auto-watering & heat & bee hives & predators - nothing is impossible.
Even my cucumbers in the cold 'house do 18'.
These were 2 of the key bits from the RHS trials - more readable??
Watering is for bags.
