Just got back from a great family Bonfire.Superb Bonfire, superb Food ,superb company and superb Fireworks. All in all a great night!!!!
Glad you had a good time budgie. Did a bit of ooooohing and aaaaahing myself at the 'pretty' stuff but all gone quiet now.
Did ours on Saturday - supposed to be for the kids, but after about 5 minutes, the kids all vanished in doors with the food and fizzy drinks whilst all the mature grown ups stood around in the cold ooing and aahing at the sparkley things! ;D Must say, the pumpkin soup went down a storm! Almost didn't have enough! Put a good pinch of cayenne pepper in it shortly before serving so it was real warming and yumlish!
Pumpkin soup's a great warmer isnt it. Just rightfor bonfire night. Made it for the first time this year.
Only problem was it took two of us to wrestle with it to get its top off!! Then the insides were all over the kitchen.
I can remember cumin and garlic but not the third condiment that made it really yummy.
Our was fun too, the kids ohhed and ahhed! I enjoyed the sparklers.always do! (big kid meself really!)
Just knew you'ed be out there with the Fireworks Dottie
Had to be out there to make sure the other half didn't ignite himself!! ;D Plus I like a good sparkler on a clear November night! trouble is he had 2 dud's which he has kindly left in my greenhouse.what on earth are you supposed to do with defunct fireworks???? DP
Got to wait until Saturday for our local one :-/, but I have to say everyone was really going for it last night locally - loads of fireworks to be seen from the bedroom windows ;D. Decided to let the mog stay in and she patted my face at about 4 this morning as if to say "It's alright now, mum I can go out - they've stopped!" :)
Love, Palefire
