Just closing up for the night and found this little fella eating the birds scraps. Hope the poor thing survives, cos once they come into my garden they seem to get run over on the main road. Â

What a lovely picture.
He's beautiful Carol and would certainly be much more welcome here than my current night visitor....what a great piccie :)
he is really sweet , nice pic :) :) :)
Hi Carol, you could fatten him up for winter by giving him some peanuts and/or left overs of cat food. I found ours nicking the bird food too so he gets his own serving of peanuts each evening.
I have bought some Cat meat today and will put it out at Dusk tonight. I have been down this road many many times but if the Hogs leave my garden the d a mn Asda lorries get them. Fingers crossed this time!!!
::) ::)
Good luck. I hope it keeps him in the garden.

sweet C :)
about 5 years ago we had a family of hedgehogs living in the compost bin at the top of the garden
the weans use to love watching them shuffle about the garden :)
Oh Carol ! He's a little beauty ;D
;) ;)
I check at this time every night and he is usually there but I think he doesnt like KitKat cos he leaves some of it but he scoffs the other cat meat. So far so good, he is still with me!!!
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Is he still o.k., Carol? Discerning hiog anyway - my cat doesn't like Kitekat either! Plenty of squirrels, foxes, etc but no hedgehogs to be seen aroun d here so please let us know how he is faring. Thanks
I am still putting out the Cat Meat, Whiskas now but for the past 2 nights not seen him. I did spot an orange cat sniffing at the meat though so suspect its the Cat who is finishing the meat by the morning if I dont see Hedgie by Midnight. Hope he returns!!! no corpse so road didnt get him.
:( :( :( :(
Ahhh hes lovely Carol.. You know why he didnt eat the Kit Kat................
Yup its a she...........and shes on a diet. ;D

Just had the Hedgie for supper, so he is still around. He told me he likes the Whiskas better than KitKat and thats not chocolate?? Glad he is still around hearabouts.

:o :o Would you like to rephrase that, Carol?? Surely you don't have devious motives in encouraging the wildlife into your garden - are you Asda's secret supplier??
Stay alert Hedgie........
My Border 'english' is a bit sus. Wicker. As If, I would eat that darling little hedgehog, he looks up at me with his beady eyes and asks for 'more' please.
::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
:D :D
See, he is still around..............

Hi Carol,
If you could put some dead logs in one of the corners of your garden, cover with leaves or pine, Mr Hedgehog would make it his home for winter, as they hibernite, I think ::) ???
Good luck with your prickly little friend - He is beautiful ;) ;D
