Title: My midnight visitor
Post by: Carol on September 21, 2005, 00:09:17
Just closing up for the night and found this little fella eating the birds scraps.  Hope the poor thing survives, cos once they come into my garden they seem to get run over on the main road.

Hi Carol, you could fatten him up for winter by giving him some peanuts and/or left overs of cat food.  I found ours nicking the bird food too so he gets his own serving of peanuts each evening.

I am still putting out the Cat Meat, Whiskas now but for the past 2 nights not seen him.  I did spot an orange cat sniffing at the meat though so suspect its the Cat who is finishing the meat by the morning if I dont see Hedgie by Midnight.   Hope he returns!!!  no corpse  so road didnt get him.

:o :o Would you like to rephrase that, Carol?? Surely you don't have devious motives in encouraging the wildlife into your garden - are you Asda's secret supplier??

Stay alert Hedgie........

Hi Carol,

If you could put some dead logs in one of the corners of your garden, cover with leaves or pine, Mr Hedgehog would make it his home for winter, as they hibernite, I think ::) ???

Good luck with your prickly little friend - He is beautiful  ;) ;D
