I'm after a new strimmer (electric) at least 500 watt to cope with weeds up the lottie, just wondered if anyone can recommend a good en with punch or one that has been recommended in the "Which magazine"?

Have just googled the which website (which.net or something similar, have logged off of it now)
They recommend a few there under gardening. You need to run a free trial to run the reports but they do at least list the ones they tried on the website.
May be worth a look.

hi,   black and decker do a heavy duty strimmer, very powerful bout 1KW i think. it comes with a fine line and a heavy duty line, are about £40 form B&Q, have one and there great!

Thank you Madmum, didn't realise you could get a free trial of which mag. ;)

Adim thnks for the inpot but yew must reely get the enginears in to check out yor spel cheeker ;D

;D Ah well, that answers my question :D back to the original question, I have decided to go for the Black & Decker GL690 Electric Grass Trimmer at 630watts, just hope it runs well with my Genny :o.

Oh Adam take no notice.  We type that fast on here to get our point across and who can be bothered to go back and correct stuff.   It's not about spelling it's about other stuff.  Worry ye not  ;D
