;D That's a cracker, there's more than one plant isn't there? I assume it is in the ground to get to that size, how do you wrap it and where in the World are you? ;D

Marianne yes its my Narna, Musa Basjoo to give it it's "proper" name :)

Roy, It started as one and has been in the ground for about 3 years now, and apart from donating a few offshoots it is now a lovely clump.

Dibber it gets a bucketful of manure in the spring and is in a sheltered spot, just keeps getting bigger n bigger I am happy to say!

Adam not too bad to wrap in the winter, I cut off its leaves and then put a wire frame I have around it (Bit of old fencing I picked up somewhere!)  and stuff that with straw, looks odd but does the job! ;D

Oh and Roy I am in Sussex! ;D  ;D

Have to say it is one of my favorite plants in the garden, makes you feel all tropical! ;D  ;D  ;D

:( No unfortunately :( I have had it a few years but then sadly it died through a bad winter, I used to bring it indoors (conservatory) but must have left it outdoors for too long and lost it :'( I have tried to get a replacement but had no luck and tried growing from seed and no luck there either :(

Edited to say ... Its was an Ensete ventricosum hardy to around minus 5°C BTW ;D
