of the Ladies are all the same age, but what age is N/A ;D ;D ;D
As my mum used to say,
as old as my tongue, and a little bit older than my teeth ...
In my opinion, all the ladies on this site of 'that age' either look or give the impression of being in their mid twenties . . . , at least thats how I imagine them ! ! !
I hope this helps TEL !!! ;D
Derekthefox :D
I may be of a certain age, but who says I'm a lady!
It's the best age to be! ;D
You can be any age you want on here we are all 21/35 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D.
What i can never understand is when it says "gender" why is it somtimes left blank, seems so pointless to me dont they want us to know if they are male /female. "STRANGE".
Is that important?
You know with most people anyway - How many guys do you know who are called Diana?
Rosebud and Diana. I often wonder... male or female? Can't always tell by the Avataar. I often wonder where peeps are from, which part of the country or indeed which country. I am not nosy (well maybe I am) but I often click to see if profiles give this info. Would be interesting to know. Regards Lorna.
PS Rosebud. Age? Double your last figure for me please ;D

Tis if your names Pat, Les, Alex, Billy, George, Jessie, Jules, Kelly, Michelle, Mo, Nicky, Nat, Charlie, Chris, Eddie, Francis, Jo, Jack, Lou, Terry, Bobby, Gerry, Phew! Lee, Sam, Max, Freddie, Ali and Jordan, just for starters. :o :P ;D
But I still don't understand why it's important
It's not important but what's the point in leaving the male/female tab blank? Nothing to gain, no difference made, no harm done and its not exactly giving away crucial private information is it? lol
Easy - OH and I both post under the same name - so can be different sex and age different days....

Then why not sign off with your name giving an inclination albeit incognito? Sounds a bit devious to me. ::)
we left the gender blank because there wasn't an option for 'one of each ;D
;D At least my gender is not in doubt!
Derekthefox :D
I hope my gender is not in doubt from my avatar!
As for age, I always like to let people guess before I tell them. The answers are always quite amusing. Then I enjoy telling them my real age and watching their disbelief about how much older I am than they thought! (Usually people guess abiout 5-10 years younger than I am. Recently someone guessed half my real age!)
I hope that makes you feel good Aqui, I have also noticed that people don't seem to recognise my age either ...
Derekthefox ;D
Age does not matter you are as join as you feel , and after the day i have had today i feel about 90 ;D ;D ;D

Age is just a number - like your shoe size - unimportant once you have passed 18 I think.

Just seen your posts Dibber,
Awww sounds like you been having a rough time,
just remember you are surrounded by friends ok ;D
now how can we take the mickey ... ;D ;D ;D
only joking !
Derekthefox :D
As part of my job I am priviledged to be invited into peoples homes therefore I meet an infinite variety of folk.
Lottie was correct when she spoke about "young old folk and old young folk"
I met a chap the other week aged ninety-four who had a veggie garden at the side of his bungalow (half plot size) that would make you weep...it was immaculate and the produce was to die for.
A lady, who at seventy-four, loved to dance and couldn't find a group to go to....so she bought her own double turntable and set up her own group....Her daughter thought she was absolutely mad and then I asked her what the alternative was!
I have on the other hand met mid-fifty year olds who have retired early...and have definitely given up on life.
As far as age is concerned..that's easy....just deduct the VAT ;D
Derek
thanks derek :) :) :)
Dibber ...
You're welcome, the pleasure is mine, I think ;D
Still trying to think of a way to take the mickey ...

My husband refers to my 21 year old son & his friends as "Last of the summer wine", they're lovely lads but about as far away from wild young things as you can get. I read in the paper that middle & old age have moved back 10 years in the past something or other years. If we can hang around long enough we'll all be teenagers again.
My mother in law has been 'old' since I met her when she was 50, thirty years ago, whereas my mum is dashing around doing all sorts of things and getting much more out of life at 75 than she ever did when she was younger, there's no stopping her. I would much rather be like my mum, in fact she does remind me of a teenager...
I think I'm one of the old youngsters! (everyone my age seems to think it strange that I should enjoy growing things, cooking, reading, not drinking, not going out at night etc!) Sometimes I feel more mature than my own mother. :-\
I now feel simultaneously older and younger than I did five years ago. weird. I think it's just an arbitrary number anyway. It really isn't important.
Derek - yes I do enjoy looking younger than I am (mostly for people's reactions!) When I was 16 and people thought I was 11, I wasn't so impressed!
Its definitely a state of mind.....my 85 year old mother has stayed out later than me for the last three New Years Eves!!!! :-[
Hi I have a friend who is 85 years young. She has a big veggie garden, all done herself, where she grows most of her own veg, and a lot for friends and neighbours too. Lucky me! She still does all her own shopping - a 2 mile walk to town, then back. And she also looks after 'an old lady' up the road! She puts me to shame. Whereas my sister was born old (unlike me, tee hee). Young at heart seems to be best, or I tell myself that when my kids tell me I'm silly.
